• Expansions management should be embedded into the growth/OD model so that expansions have ONLY ONE Focus programme – it is possible that different expansions have different focus areas – depending on capacity, entity goals and market reality of expansions
• Ensure the number of expansions in the entity are just right to achieve goals of the entity
• In general this is the role of a VP OD but in tier 1 entities you can choose to have an Expansions manager on the MC
• Expansions need a clear coaching model with TM support and focus programme support so ensure there is HR to do this coaching and tracking
• The MCVP of programme which expansions are focusing on needs to work in synergy completely with VP OD and expansions manager (if there is one) to ensure alignment in expansion coaching and education
• Ensure complete customization for expansions at conferences too!

Goals
• Number of Expansions currently • Target number of Official Expansions by June 2014• Target number of Official expansions converting to LCs by June
2014• Contribution of Expansions to GCDP GIP (Specifically to focus
programmes)• % contribution of GCDP GIP from expansions to AIESEC in
Russia • Define goal expansion wise and total goal too.
Minimum criteria Once goals are defined:- Minimum criteria for an initiative to be an Official expansion- Minimum criteria and timeline for OE to convert to an LC
Expansions creation process• LC initiated expansion creation and timeline
- Top-bottom (Official partnerships with universities)- Bottom-top (Members from parent LC or expansion city/University help in
starting up)
• MC initiated expansion creation and timeline
Expansions MoS• Should relate to focus programme• Integrated Experiences• Also with some key TM KPIs because it is extremely important to
build talent capacity
Synergy on the MC team• National financial strategy for expansions development (subsidy, investment,
incentives)• Education and Operational cycle for expansions (conferences, coaching visits,

NST:• Define NST Structure for new and existing expansions.• Take into considerations specific programme NST Management for expansions (Eg:
iGCDP or oGCDP) , General expansions manager, TM Manager for expansions
• Structure at LC level to manage expansions
• Structures in city based expansions and university based expansions
• Recruitment timeline
