Stress in and out of itself is not good or bad. It all depends on how you handle it.

STRESS AND PERFORMANCE

Burnout is a term often associated with too much stress.

STRESS - STRAIN RELATIONSHIP

When stress continues to go up, so does strain - which is an emotional & physical reaction to stress.

Look for the right amount of stress and least amount of strain to give you the max. amount of productivity.

THE FOUR MODERATORS

1. I love my job. (most of the time)2. I use safety precautions like wearing a

seat belt in moving vehicles.3. I am within five kgs of my ideal weight.4. I know three methods to reduce stress

that do no include the use of alcohol.5. I do not smoke.6. I sleep six to eight hours each night and

wake up refreshed.

7. I engage in regular physical activity at least three times a week.

8. I have seven or fewer alcoholic drinks a week.

9. I know my blood pressure.10. I follow sensible eating habits.11. I have a good social support system.12. I maintain a positive mental attitude.

Train ….. don't strain.
