Our Home: Kingsport, TN
But to some…
The streets of Kingsport are their home.
52,962 individuals lived in Kingsport in 2013.
Of those individuals, 19.6% were below the poverty level.
That equals to 10,381 people in our community below the
poverty level.
To put this in perspective, this would be about• 9 times the amount of people in your county
high school
These people mostly live without
The bible says we can help
Acts 20:35 NIV“In everything I did, I showed you that
by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: ‘It is more blessed than to give than to receive.’”
How?1. We can cook them food.2. We can give them our clothes.3. We can volunteer at the shelter.4. We can talk to them and be their
friends.5. Most importantly, we can open our
bibles with them and share the good news.
What are we doing tonight?

1. Grab a Ziploc bag2. Take one of each item on the table and fill
your bag up3. Grab a marker, pen, and bible4. Pick a verse to share with someone who will
receive that bag and write it on the paper5. Put the paper in the bag and take a moment
to pray for the people who will receive it6. Repeat all of the steps until all of the bags

Last ThingAfter you are finished, work together to
make a poster for the people of our church to thank them for all of the
items they donated.
