History of Christianity
Christianity emerged in the Levant in the mid-1st century AD. Christianity spread initially from Jerusalem throughout the Near East, into places such as Aram, Assyria, Mesopotamia, Phoenicia, Asia Minor, Jordan and Egypt.
The sources for the beliefs of the apostolic community include the Gospels and New Testament epistles.
Christianity: The religion based on the person and teachings of Jesus Christ, or its beliefs and practices.
According to the New Testament, Christians were subject to various persecutions from the beginning. This involved even death for Christians such Stephen & James.
In spite of these at-times intense persecutions, the Christian religion continued its spread throughout the Mediterranean Basin.
The central teachings of traditional Christianity are that Jesus is the Son of God, the second person of the Trinity of God the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit; that his life on earth, his crucifixion, resurrection, and ascension into heaven are proof of God's love for humanity and God's forgiveness of human sins.
FastingRecords believers fasting before they made important decisions (Acts 13:4; 14:23)Fasting & prayer are often linked together (Luke 2:37; 5:33)The focus of fasting is to take our eyes off the things of this world & instead focus on GodFasting shouldn't be considered a “dieting method” (Matthew 6:16-18)

Ethics
Christian ethics is a branch of Christian theology that defines concepts of right (virtuous) and wrong (sinful) behavior from a Christian perspective.
"The Bible is the universal and fundamental source of specifically Christian ethics.”
Christians do not all follow one type of ethics. It depends on their view of Scripture and Tradition.
