THE MISSION DISTRICTA neighborhood in San Francisco originally known a “the Mission lands” meaning the lands belonging to the sixth Alta California mission, Mission San Francisco de Asis. The mission, San Francisco’s oldest standing building is located in the northwest area of the district.

Best tacos in the world. Lunchtime.

CABLE CAR RIDE

Every car is pulled along it’s hilly track by an underground cable.

Get on at a non touristy stop to avoid lines.

Take it to Fisherman’s Wharf.

Head to Chrissy Fields for a picnic and bridge views.

LEGENDARY CITY HALL

A Beau-Arts monument to the City Beautiful movement that epitomized the hit-minded American Renaissance of the 1880’s to 1920’s. The structure’s dome is the fifth largest in the world.
