To replace the airplane We lost in a fire ~ September 2013.


A fundraiser to preserve our past, For our present,

As well as for the future for us all Here at Pioneer Outfitters

And here in Chisana, Alaska


What is an airplane? Certainly, a luxury to so many.

NOT a luxury to the people Who live in Chisana.

NOT a luxury for those Men, women and children who are

Pioneer Outfitters. Not a luxury to those who live so

Deeply remote in Alaska’s Wrangell Mountains.

One of the kindest, Most generous,

Incredibly gentle Humans I have ever known.

Living to help others, In any way he can,

Yet ~ As strong as our Faith And our backs may be… Depending on others ~

Availability and Abilities To receive freight, fuel and supplies

Into Chisana Is us, holding onto the end of a deadly

burning rope, waiting for it to snap.


An airplane is a tool. The most important tool. A life-line and salvation

To ALL That live in or visit

Chisana.


An airplane, to us here in Chisana, Is like a car or truck to you.

But in a place that a bicycle or feet Cannot help you.


Without this tool, Without an airplane,

The power will turn off, Supplies will stop coming,

Horses and livestock will die, Safety, support and rescue

Will ALL be put into grave jeopardy.


There will be no one, To safely guide those that come

seeking their dreams; To welcome strangers with Willing hearts and homes;

To stand ready to help and protect Those who have need.


Without this tool, The airplane,

Pioneer Outfitters will die. Without it,

The world will loose a treasure, So many have yet to experience.

Without it, Chisana will loose it’s heart.


Stand for the Man in Black The fundraiser,

Is most likely, The scariest idea I have ever had…

In a lifetime of crazy and precocious ideas.


So why do I believe a fundraiser can save The heart of Chisana?


Because of YOU. Because of all the blessings

That Social Media Has brought into my own life.
