TERRARIUM CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTSBy Niki Meiners of 365 Days of Crafts and Oriental

TERRARIUM CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS
• Get ready for fun with the whole family by making terrarium Christmas ornaments.
• Each family member can style their ornament to hang on the tree.
• The ornaments are plastic so you don’t have to worry if they get knocked or bumped, plus they have flat bottoms so you can place them around the house too.
WHAT YOU’LL NEED• Terrarium Christmas Ornaments
• Air Dry Modeling Clay
• Craft Snow
• Mini Cream Frosted Sisal Tree
• Mini Green Frosted Sisal Tree
• Christmas Ribbon
• Green Baker’s Twine
• Toothpicks
• Small Twig
• Scissors
• Glue
MAKING THE ORNAMENTS• Step 1: Have everyone wash their
hands before beginning so the Air Dry Modeling Clay doesn’t change colors. Stack three balls on top of each other and connect them with a toothpick.
• Step 2: Make accessories like scarves, hats, lumps of coal and carrot noses. Tiny twigs are used for the arms. Attach them to the snowmen and reshape if necessary.
• Step 3: While the snowmen are drying, cover the silver cap with ribbon and connect with a dot of glue.
MAKING THE ORNAMENTS• Step 4: Press a ball of white clay into
the base of each ornament. Smooth in place with your fingers. Push the Mini Cream Frosted Sisal Tree into the snow mound.
• Step 5: Add the snowmen into the snowy mound. Don’t squeeze him too tightly!
• Step 6: Add a pinch of craft snow into the terrarium. Give it a gentle tap to hold it in place. Cut Green Baker’s Twine to hang the terrarium ornaments.
