What is lost in translation? VK.com/LOSTINTRANSLATION2015

Lost in translation is a music project that is intent on placing subtitles in music

videos. The subtitles are placed to provide international listeners with

translations of lyrics in videos of music performed by CTSUTTER. The project

was inspired by the social media website VK. The VK website offers a place for

social networking and has features that any professional music producer can

enjoy when sharing new music online. Lost in translation 2015 is about starting

with an idea for adding subtitles in other languages to music videos in hopes to

create a foundation around future educational music. Music training linguists to

better understand a language and applying that education to entertaining

popular music could be something that people gravitate to when considering

music in the future. If you understand it. You know if you like it.

What inspired the idea?

It wasn’t the VK alone. Music was also the inspiration. My friends enjoyed a

song that I worked on with Bruno Beatz. Bruno Beatz is a superstar in the

recording engineering world and has worked with a lot of amazing professional

artists. I was once present when Memphis Bleek said; “Bruno is the truth.” The

song that inspired the lyrical translation idea is called “I Think I Love You” and

it’s available on the VK. All you have to do is search music and type in

CTSUTTER and you can find songs like “I Think I Love You” and “Sweet Love”

under my artist name. Music will be released in the future independently and

shopped to a number of music supervisors. The release of “I Think I Love You”

to iTunes stores will happen this June. Releasing music independently has

been made really easy with links like this one; http://www.tkqlhce.com/click-

consists of music and threading the concept of what gets “Lost in translation” Interviews with

professional musicians and others will be included. We have all had a moment when we are speaking

with someone that doesn’t fully understand our own language. Improving understanding in those

moments by translating music and applying the subtitles in video content. The full project releases on
