The Importance of Vacuum on IS MachinesThe Yantai Changyu Glass
facility in the Shandong Province is of medium size, extremely
accurate in company choices, seen from the ordered set up, the
cleanness indoor and the care for machine selection. The
improvement on the IS machines could be clearly measured: running
vacuum on a 8 section DG line for 750 ml wine bottle result in the
increased IS machine speed by 10% and the reduce bottle weight by
another10%.
Innovative Pumps Control SolutionsThe systematic replacement of
water cooled pumps with Pneumofore UV50 units at HNG involved in
2012 the Naidupeta and Nashik plants, where a new logic was
installed, combined with a Variable Speed drive and an Eternet card
for each vacuum pump.
Vacuum Improvement at SGDSaint-Gobain Desjonqures has a plant in
Sucy en Brie, in France, specialized in hollow glass containers for
the cosmetic and pharmaceutical industry. For 7 IS lines with the
total of 52 sections, the previous vacuum system investment,
motivated by low purchasing prices, failed due to the inadequate
choice for the continuous, heavy duty operation required in
glassworks. In 2011 the vacuum level was improved with 1 x UV30
VS55 vacuum pump of Pneumofore.
Vacuum for Wiegand and for NampakIn June 2004 the first
Pneumofore vacuum pumps were installed at Wiegand Glas GmbH in
Steinbach and in Grossbreitenbach, Germany. Several air cooled UV
pumps replaced successfully old, water-cooled units. The good
results in Germany motivated the installation of UV pumps also at
Nampak Wiegand Glass in South Africa.
Vacuum Installation without Service CenterThe IS machines of our
customer were upgraded for moulding with vacuum in 2003. Despite
the lack of a local service center, the control and maintenance was
easily covered by the customer himself. The simple and reliable
design of UV pumps resulted in the trouble-free operation, 7 years
long, until the factory was heavily enlarged in 2010.
