• This is showing the interexternal references which is the live sculptures of Erwin Wurm, this is art that was used to inspire the ideas in this video.

• The bare chest of the male singer of the Red Hot Chili Peppers is portrayed in a sexual way this is because there is voyeuristic treatment of the male body and him with no shirt on is showing his sexuality

• The fact he also has tattoo's helps to emphasize his rebellious attitude and sexuality

• This is a meat shot of the lead singer this falls inline with Goodwin's analysis because he refers to how the artist is often used as a ‘brand’ or the face of their music.

• In this we see the lead singer pulling a face in a funny costume this helps to show the brand of the band as fun and up beat.

• Goodwin's theory also involves the idea that music video’s often include genre characterizes. For this video we can see a fun rebellious attitude which is associated with rock the genre of the Red hot chili peppers.

• The visuals in this video are following the lyrics and are amplifying what the lyrics are about. We can see this because the lyrics are saying ‘cant stop..’ and the scene is constantly changing using intercutting and there is a very fast cutting rate

• This amplifies the lyrics and makes them much stronger and more powerful as they are supported by the visuals

• This is another part of Goodwin’s theory showing that music visuals can either: illustrate, amplify or contradict the lyrics.
