You know that sticking to a schedule is important in your regular everyday life and the same is true for your business as well. Luckily, with an online business, it is much easier to stick to a schedule with the many tools available. (which we will detail later)

So, how do you know how to create a schedule to follow? Is there different times to follow for different platforms? And what do you post?

These are all great questions that we will help you uncover the answers too. First, let’s begin with understanding what networks are right for your business before creating your posting schedule.

Take a few minutes to study the chart above. You can also print it out for future reference to make organizing easier as well. Consider your product or service and think about the type of audience you are looking for. For example:

● If you are a Direct Sales consultant in the beauty/health industry, your target audience would be located on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest however using Google + as an additional marketing platform could be very useful to you as a lead generation for your other marketing sites by using it as a blog of sorts.

● If you are a Network Marketer and your service is geared towards helping other businesses with specific tools such as lead capture pages, autoresponder services etc, your target audience would be located on Facebook, Twitter and Google +, as an example. However, if you’re creative with your marketing strategy, you can also incorporate Pinterest and Instagram as well to target those prospects.

● If you are a Small Business, (lets say you build unique wind chimes or design custom jewelry) and you want to gain worldwide exposure for your in home business, you can very easily use ALL these social media marketing sites on top of incorporating your online store. (which will be detailed more in another training).

The 70/20/10 RuleThis rule is the same as the widely known 90/10 rule, just broken down further where

90% = Others/Helpful Stuff (Giving) and 10% = You (Taking/Receiving).

Broken down, 70/20/10 means:

● 70%= Adding value to your brand by sharing relevant content that is educational & informative.● 20%= Sharing others’ content that is relevant to your brand● 10%= Promotional business posts

Posting Rule Of Thumb

70% Motivational Post(Beauty Quote)

Mix it up with text, images and both

Informative Post(Beauty Tip)

Mix it up with text, image, video, infographic

Inspirational Post(Article relating to beauty;

maybe inspiring story about cancer patient?)

Educational Post(Video on how Ancient Egypt

used cosmetics)

20% Share Others Business Post(Share Makeup Artist’s upcoming

event)

Shout Out to Other Businesses

(Give shout out to Makeup Artist’s most

recent work)

10% Your Business Post(Call To Action/Product

Update/Sales/Giveaways etc)

Here is an example of how you can post for each category if you are in the beauty industry. Mix it up and make it your own but make sure to follow these guidelines consistently to produce the maximum results and

fan engagement.

So far we have covered the different types of marketing tool platforms and which ones are right for your business, and the posting rule of thumb also known as 70/20/10 (which by the way is also very helpful to follow for your own personal profile especially if you tend to gain leads through it...just another jammin’ tip!).Now I want to focus on another great question that we get asked about a lot….

”Are there certain times I should be posting on these different sites?”

The easy and short answer is No. The more complex answer is Yes and all you have to do is this, that and that to see exactly when your followers are most online and then see what content they are most engaging with and post more of that during those times.

Here is where it tends to get a bit confusing. Okay, a lot confusing! Your fans are all over the world which means that you’d have to post 24/7 to reach them during THEIR peak times.

What happened to working from home for more freedom, fun and less work?

Exactly!!

Page 8: Scheduling your networking business successfully

Instead of creating your schedule around your fans, make your content worthy enough to make them tune in during your “office hours”. Make sense? Okay...another time factor we have to take into account (especially where Facebook is concerned with their new algorithm, which is always changing, *SMH*) is making sure your content is being shown in the newsfeeds of others. If you haven’t already watched the “Edgerank is Dead” video by your Savvy coach Julie-Ann, I recommend watching that first so you will better understand this next tip. You can find the video here: Edgerank is Dead!

As mentioned before, your potential customers are coming from all over the world; different time zones, even different seasons! The last thing you want to do is overwhelm yourself with rearranging your entire life and schedule just to post during certain times to try and reach them. In the Algorithm video linked above, you’ll easily see why Facebook has made these changes and why it’s more important to beat the odds within Facebook itself rather than with your fans. This may seem a bit backwards to you but I promise, this works!!

The majority of WAH (work at home) peeps have designed their schedule something similar to regular 9-5 day job which is awesome except for that means that 98% of these peeps are all posting at the same time which is making it more difficult for you and even THEM to get their content seen. This in turn means MORE work with promoting, sharing posts, linking to other platforms, asking friends and family to help you share etc.

There is a better Way!!

“I remember when I used to work 3rd shift at the factories. If 2nd shift wasn’t available, I’d always go for 3rd because even though I really disliked trying to sleep during the day, there were less people, less drama and ALWAYS more quality production. It never made much sense but that’s just the way it was and I loved that about the night shift”

--Julie-Ann Wilder

Does this ring a bell with anyone? Does this give you the same bright idea that it gave us at Team JAMS? Huh, Huh?

Alright then, so I’ll just throw it out there for ya. Night posting gets MORE results than day posting mainly because the daytime news feed has slowed down and your content has more of a chance of being seen (not to mention it also helps to get views from those on the opposite end of the world...hint hint!) AND with Facebook’s algorithm, this also means that your late night posts will be one of the firsts shown on newsfeeds the following morning when your peeps login! How awesome is that?!?

Page 10: Scheduling your networking business successfully

And here I’ve been promoting your freedom and independence as an entrepreneur but now I’m telling you to work your business 3rd shift?? No, no, no! I mean yes but take advantage of Facebook’s built in post scheduler. This means that your business can literally run 24/7 on autopilot while you’re still only putting in 20 hours a week!

Schedule Your Posts Here!

However, I must let you know that if you have your Twitter connected to your Facebook page to automatically “tweet” your posts, using a Facebook scheduler will not automaticallytweet it to Twitter but this is okay because in our Team JAMS Twitter training, we will give you all the awesome tools you’ll need to automate those as well!!

Next up, Julie’s personal and real life posting schedule Woot Woot!

“I’ve always loved the idea of

being my own boss but I never did that great in the beginning because I’m so shy which made it hard to close a sale. Over the years I’ve grown and learned how to use this trait to my advantage and I love helping others like myself to use their quiet demeanor in their favor. Once you’ve learned the tricks to it, there’s absolutely no stopping anIntrovert with passion!“

~Julie-Ann Wilder

In today’s world, marketers have a huge

advantage over marketers of the past. When I first began in Direct Sales in

2001, there was no social media, greatly limiting my exposure. Now, by applying

some key skills to social media, your audience is limitless. And because you

don’t have to be face to face, anyone can do it!”
