Website Evaluation Placement Report
The Placement Report for various colleges shown on the website has various faults like presence of too many links, high processing time and not having any feature to compare reports of at least two colleges.
Recommendations:
A chart kind of a structure with the highest and lowest salary together with the average and a link to open the detailed report if the student is interested to dig into further details
Mentioning which college follows IPRS to increase efficiency
Mentioning Batch Strength

Recommendation
Website Evaluation
Recommendation Better insight into the quality of education a student will get on that campus
Colleges need to assess a campus’ “happiness” coefficient. A happy campus is a more productive learning environment; and one that has a lower incidence of any sort of distractions.
The full debt – or savings depletion – that families incur; not just student debt. ROI is a very important factor
The salaries of graduates one, five, and ten years after graduation
Employers comment on graduates working in their organisation
Inserting the previous year ranks or variation in the ranking to reflect on the consistency or improvement in performance of the institute
Generalizing the entire Ranking system without the involvement of any sorting.
Mentioning the scores of different parameters taken into consideration
Website Evaluation
Alumni Insight Rather than just reading about the Alumni or getting details about
their career, every student would actually love to interact with some alumni who have spent their precious 2 years in the campus. Direct interaction would help them to resolve their queries and also get a sneak peek in to the life at campus. A direct one to one interaction always works wonders.
Recommendations: Making a pool of alumni from various institute who would be happy
to help any aspiring student to learn more about the campus The detailed profile of the Alumni would appear on entering the
name of the institute Any sort of query can be forwarded through an email on the website
and the concerned alumni can revert back within a specified number of days
Website Evaluation
Prep Meter Recommendations: Questions based on difficulty levels should be provided to assess the
preparation of any particular student A pool of question should be prepared and analysed and based on
the response the student will be getting scores to analyse their performance
Pathfinder Recommendations: A few colleges lay heavy importance on the scores of board exams
as well as the work experience. It is therefore necessary to take those into consideration to increase efficiency. Therefore it is very important to map certain other parameters like sectional cut offs, profile compatibility with pre mentioned criteria etc to predict a chance for a particular user
Website Evaluation Home Page (B School)
Recommendations: Some Features like ‘Word of the Day’ should be there on the front page
There should be a news alert feed
A dedicated aspirants section where they can join and solve a few questions and get discount vouchers/goodies in return
A separate faculty section where they can read the interviews or get some tips for their upcoming exam
Structured information. Currently way too scattered and clumsy
The Search Bar is way too big and is a hindrance to the background theme
Feedback Mechanism
1st Way: Collect the data (Rank predicted by the tool) from the users who
have used rank predictor (after answers are made public, 22nd April) and use the Registration number & DOB to know the original rank from the JEE Mains Site on 7th July.
Compare both and accuracy can be known
** The input field for registration number should be modified and DOB should be included or should be linked with the profile.
2nd Way:
Unique code concept
3rd Way:
From 7th July onwards a few parameters to be included in the college predictor page
Board Percentage
JEE Score
Change of ‘Home State’ to ‘Exam Board’
While the user puts in his original rank we can collect the data for his Board percentage & JEE marks with his original rank and check the accuracy.

Now the challenge arrives that most of the users avoid filling such forms as there is no such incentives provided and they consider it as a waste of time. Hence some way should be deduced so that the users will be filling such forms because of any incentive provided.
Recommendation:
For the Rank Predictor, the entire analysis is provided to the users in two steps. First they are provided with basic information and then upon clicking they are provided with a detailed analysis. In this case, if the feedback form is generated whenever the user clicks to obtain the detailed analysis, then there is a high chance that the users will actually fill this up as filling up the form will unlock some information which can be very useful for them.
College Predictor Improvements
In the present scenario we are mapping the home state of a user because there is a 50 % quota for home state candidates but in the final result the colleges are not sorted according to it and hence is a problem for the user to locate their home state college where he/she will have a higher chance of getting admission and sometimes their preferred college
A separate tab can be created to accommodate the All India and Home State Colleges within the Overall Result section.

College Predictor Improvements
Here we are mapping a single college at a time and showing the user their chances for all the streams in that particular college as per the data available to us. Then we can move to the next college and map all the streams and henceforth like this.
College Predictor Improvements
Trend Meter Details
Rather than just providing the Trend Meter, the Cut offs can be shown to provide the users with a clear idea about the actual numbers they need to score.
College Predictor Improvements
Including the Closing Round (Data Available to us) in the college predictor so as to give the user a proper idea about last year trend. The Chance Meter is doing this particular job but as per the conversations I had with quite a few students, the closing rank for last year is the most valuable information to them and that is the first thing that they look for.
College Predictor Improvements
The Counselling happens through several rounds and there are separate cut offs for every single round . Sometimes it happens any particular student is interested in only a few colleges and hence if they miss out on them, they intend to come back in the next round for one more shot. Therefore it is important that they have data for all the rounds available to them for their consultation
College Predictor Improvements
Sometimes students are interested in some specific branch that they want to pursue and hence will choose the best college that offers that particular branch/branches. So we should include a new kind of search where a student can enter his preferred branch and our college predictor will indicate all such colleges offering that particular branch/branches . This can be included in the trial version since we are mapping their preference and not producing any results for that. This can be particularly helpful in luring them to buy the full version by asking them to check his/her chances in those colleges
