The mast head is in the middle of the magazine and is in white. Some of the letter have got bright colors filled in them. This could resemble how he fun side of magazine and the amount of exciting news its providing to the audience. The bright color also catch the readers attention straight away even if they’re not looking for that magazine. The use of dull colors would not have the same effect. However when the magazine is stacked on the store shelves the whole masthead wont be shown and this may mean readers are not able to spot the magazine easily. This picture is of

Miranda Lambert who is a well known singer in country music. The way her hair and make up is done resembles the delicateness of country music, as her look very soft and her makeup is simple put really defines her facial features. The use of a close up shot also helps to resemble the delicateness of this photo.

This cover line has the biggest font size as it is telling us who the star on the font is and that this one of the main stories in the magazine

The rest of the cover lines are a lot smaller to show they’re not as important

Certain cover lines are highlighted in black and red this could be because all the writing is white and for it to stand out on that bit of the picture it had to be highlighted. Its also makes the celebrities names stand out compared to the other short sentences describing things in the magazine as readers always want to know who feature in the magazine.

The house style of the magazine is mainly red, black and white. The use of red and white links back to the masthead, and the black could be used as a contrast to the white and to make things stand out

A convention of magazines is also a barcode on the front, however some magazines may have the barcode on the back so that it doesn’t cover aspects of the front cover

The font of the masthead has a very old country edge to it. The way it goes from big letters to small and then big again could represent how gently country music flows. The fact that the image covers the masthead slightly shows us that the magazine gives the importance to the celebrities they're featuring

The way Faith is standing in this photo looks like she's inviting the readers in to the magazine with her, as her body is facing away but her head is turned to toward us, like she's waiting for us to follow . Her hair again is shown as very light and free, representing how free country music is. Her picture could also inspire younger women making them want to buy the magazine

This pug is giving the reader a chance to support there favorite singer/band. The fact that the word “vote” is in yellow and the rest is in white means that the magazine wants to make sure the audience sees that first. The pug is also slanted showing that its informal.

All of the cover lines start of with the name of the celebrity its about and the colour of the name is in yellow, this could be to so that it stands out to the audience and attracts them in to buying the magazine if there a fan of the celebrity. the font of all the cover lines are formal giving a serious look to the magazine this also matches the serious facial expression on Faith Hill's face, however this contrasts with the masthead, the pug and the footer.

The main cover line is a lot bigger compared to the rest this so its clear who the person on the front of the magazine is.

The house style of country music is mainly a rusty brown and red with white and yellow as well. The colours used are not feminine or masculine and this helps to attract both genders to read the magazine.

The magazine has not included a barcode on the front this could be to make the magazine more aesthetically pleasing.

The masthead is red on white which is very strong and is automatically on of the first things the target audience sees. The font also has a shadow behind the it almost as if its jumping out to the reader, it also emphasizes the importance of it compared to the cover lines.

The picture of Taylor Swift used on the cover is not how you would expect the image to be presented as the image is usually in the center of a magazine. However the image takes over most of the space and stands out on the white background. This would defiantly attract Taylor Swift fans. Her hair is blonde and curly which makes her look careless and free just like country music. The way her hands are positioned also links to the cover line about her as she is shown in a very delicate and girly way, that the audience would just fall in love with her.

This header is telling the readers who else features in the magazine. The font colors are pink and black which is the same as the cover lines the fact its not different shows us its not that important. It also doesn't’t have a shadow like the masthead showing its not a s important as The font of this cover line is

bigger then the rest this is to show that this is the magazines main article and also tell the readers who the person on the front of the magazine is too. The word love is written in red this is because the colour red represents love and passion. To make it stand out even more it uses a different font which is a lot more delicate and feminine, this font style could be used to show how fragile love is and to show how delicate Taylor Swift is.

The house style of the magazine is mainly pink, red , white and black these colours all contrast very well with each other. The use of pink could attract a lot of female readers as it’s very girly. Pink and red also accentuates her sex appeal

The fact that this cover line is on the other side of the rest means that its one of the first thing the reader sees as there's not a lot to read. It also has win in big letters and this makes a Taylor's fans want to buy the magazine more.

An inside to one of the stories has been given and the fact that they have included a picture as well as writing makes it a lot more attractive. The black background makes the story stand out better and the font style and colour of the word revealed attracts the reader. It helps convince the reader to buy the magazine as they're being revealed a secret

Katy Perry is seen as more important then the other articles featured in the magazine because her picture takes over majority of the magazine. The white background helps give her the importance.

A convention of music magazines is the date on it.

A quote has also been included which is from the artist and this is giving a sneak peak of what will be in the magazine.

The fact that she’s holding a huge mushroom in the picture gives the reader a glimpse of her spontaneous personality. Her facial expression also helps ensure she’s very spontaneous. This also tells us that the magazine is very informal

Only some of the articles are shown on the contents and these are the articles that are the most important and that people are most likely to be interested in.

The word “features” is in red to show the importance of it as well as the picture which also links the picture as there is red in the picture.

The font of the word contents is bold to show its important however its not as important as the picture s the picture s covering it

The picture looks slightly out of place though as its got no link to music considering it’s a music magazine

The main image is of a female country star, this could inspire younger females to be like her. However it could also attract male readers as she is made to look very attractive in the photo. A caption has also been included at the bottom of the image saying “Teri Clark gets serious” this shows the reader that she means business and this is reinforced by her eyes as she is looking straight at the camera.

The contents page has been split into sections and this could make it easier for the reader to find which category they are looking for.

Another image is also included. This could be to highlight another main story the magazine has covered and fans of the star would be able to recognise the star and find the page he's on easily.

The name of the magazine has been included on the contents page. Even though its not the main focus their is still a link from the front cover to the contents page. Ensuring the magazine name is advertised constantly.

Certain pages are made to stand out more by the font being bigger and bolder. This could be done to highlight the main topics the magazine includes.

There is an issue number at the top of the page which is a convention of magazines.

The contents has been broken down into sections, this section is one of the most important ones as the font is bigger and it even has a bit of detail about what's on the page unlike the others.

There is one main picture of an artist to attract fans and then there is a page number at the bottom to tell his fans what page he will be featured on.

There is also small pictures included to attract people to the pages where there's an article about it. These pictures are used as its what people would be more interested in and it also balances out the writing.

The color scheme is consistent throughout the double page spread, this makes the overall page look much better than if it was completely uncoordinated. They have kept to greens within theirHeadings and text. This compliments the main images.

They have repeated the picture twice over the double page spread which is something unusual for magazines to do.

Another issue of country weekly has been issued on the double spread page which has Taylor Swift featured on the front cover. This done so that fans know she will be featured in another one of there magazines.

The picture is taking up more then half the page on this side and only little space on the opposite side so that there is a balance between the text and the picture we also recognize exactly who the article is about as well after a glimpse of the picture.

The word exclusive attracts the reader in to the article straight away as they want to know the latest information about her.

The word “swing” is ironic to the picture and this makes the magazine informal

The picture is taken in a typical country setting which and gives her a very feminine look this could attract a lot of female readers.

This quote by Taylor Swift is highlighted in green and the font is bigger, as it highlights one of the main things she said. The color green is used to coordinate with the rest of the article

The name of the magazine name is included by the page number

This bit is separated in to a different section as its not to do with Taylors interview. Its also used a different color scheme to emphasize its different. The word win is repeated and has a shadow behind it so it stands out to the readers and people always like to win stuff.

In this picture he is wearing a cowboy hat and is holding a guitar to represent that he’s a country artist

The dark background and the shadow casted on his face makes him look very mysterious and this could encourage the reader to read the article to find out what's happening in it.

The magazine article has been split into sections this could be so its more appealing for the reader to read.

This picture is a lot lighter this could be because we now know what the article is about, which no longer makes it mysterious.

The word “barred” helps to show that the article is informal as its slanted and has a smudged effect on it. The white on black also stands out and makes it look bold and effective.

The pull quote is used to entice the reader and give them a sense of what will appear in the article.

The light font colors and the flower give a delicate and feminine look which would attract a lot of feminine readers.

The picture of Underwood could attract male readers because of her looks

She is made to look very delicate in the picture with her blonde hair and make which links in with the font and color theme used.

The way the one page has a picture and the other has the article on is aesthetically pleasing and means the reader is more likely to read it unlike if it had a lot of writing and only a small picture.

The layout of the double spread page is very formal but very effective on a young audience despite it being formal.

They have put the page number on top of a daisy to link it in with the rest of the page.

They have used a daisy as it links in perfectly with the colour scheme and the use of another flower wouldn’t look as good.

Drop cap is typical feature at the beginning of an article in a formal magazine.
