How many electoral votes does each state get?
1 for every House of Representative member
1 for each SenatorOH - 16 Reps + 2 Senators = 18
Electoral Votes538 Total Votes Need 270 to win the Presidency
The Democratic and Republican parties elect “electors” for district in the state
These electors actually cast the electoral voters for the state
When you vote, you are really voting a party’s elector
How does one win the Presidency?The party that wins the most popular
votes in a state wins all of the electoral votes for that state
