Entries for the Awards are currently open and last date for receiving entries is July 31, 2011. exchange4media formulated the News Broadcasting Awards in 2008 with the objective of recognising the best in television news, to reward broadcasters and industry leaders who are responsible for shaping the future of television broadcasting in India. Reporters, video editors, camerapersons and producers work tirelessly round the clock to bring to our living rooms, our daily dose of information, and often in times of crisis serve as our only window to the happenings in Ground Zero. The e4m News Broadcasting Awards seek to acknowledge the efforts of each one contributing to this huge news churn-out. Strong regional focusThis year, a total of 35 Awards would be given away in various categories. In keeping with the regional focus, this year entries have been invited across languages and not just in English and Hindi. As many as 11 Awards would be given to the best news programmes in Indian language such as: Assamese, Bangla, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil, and Telugu.
