Dr. Stuart Malawer, left, was sworn in by Fairfax Circuit Court Judge Jonathan Thacher, a former student of his at George Mason Law School , as a member of the Board of Directors of the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP). Virginia Governor Timothy Kaine appointed Dr. Malawer in the spring 2009 to a six-year term. This is the Commonwealth’s marketing

arm for promoting direct international investment, export promotion and business development in Virginia.
