DESCRIPTION

Ruth Adkins, who founded the non-profit Inspiring Alliance, has a tremendous vision to help "Wounded Warriors" coming back from Afganistan and Iraq. So often they come back home and the resources are not there for them to resume a productive life (medical, rehabilitation, job placement, etc). Inspiring Alliance has stepped in to make a difference in a BIG way, and their team is spear heading a cross country trip (22 states and millions of people) with a 1st Class Tour Bus that is going to be wrapped with 24 Corporate Sponsors. Veteran Support Available@ Inspiring Alliance

The purpose of our Inspiring Alliance Wounded Warrior Program is to provide one-to-one support to soldiers who sustain combat injuries while serving in the Operation Endearing Freedom or Operation Iraqi Freedom occupation. We coordinate support in areas to meet medical needs, housing adaptation to coincide with any related disabilities sustained, emergency financial crisis, temporary living assistance, career counseling/job placement, educational benefits and legal support. Our focus is to "inspire" each of our clients to think about what they can achieve in life instead of focusing on what they accomplished in the past. We are champions for conquering life challenges, and we stand ready to provide whatever programs necessary to help our soldiers realize what they are capable of today!

Inspiring Alliance Wounded Warrior Program differs from other organizations in that we remain with a soldier throughout his or her convalescence period, and we provide face-to-face services counseling whenever possible in that soldier’s hometown. Once a soldier reaches a point where he (she) is interested in career objectives again, we also assist in that difficult task of making the transition from military to civilian life. Our organization offers career assessment and counseling, and direct-placement positions with some firms. In addition, we have partnered with more than 150 employers across the country who are pro-active in hiring veterans.

Inspiring Alliance brings together more 500 programs and thousands of volunteers across the country who have a sense of compassion for what these brave men and women must endure to continue a life as close to what they had previous to their combat-related injuries. We focus on bridging the gap between the traumatic transition facing our Wounded Warrior and a life balance that includes whatever services required to meet that veteran's rehabilitation needs to provide the greatest level of freedom and independence possible for that individual.

“Because We Care”Journey Across America For Veterans

Date: April 1-30, 2009 Route: Traveling through 22 states

Purpose: To introduce Wounded Warriors, their loved ones and military families in general to our 500+ programs at www.inspiringalliance.org.

In addition, we will be addressing specific needs of the Wounded Warriors we meet during our journey. While this is obviously a worthy event, it is also a costly venture. Your financial support is appreciated.

Our Audience on This Journey…

Our “Because We Care” Journey takes our rented 45’ Provost tour bus, completely wrapped with 3M advertising graphics, across a 22-state route. We tour east from central Arizona to military installations all across the southern states to Florida military installations, before heading north to Walter Reed Army Medical Center to visit with some of our Wounded Warriors.

We will meet with officials in Washington D.C. before heading west to military bases in Ohio, Indiana and Illinois. We will finish the final leg of our journey traveling through Missouri, Kansas, Colorado, Utah and Nevada, wrapping up the last few days at several locations in California before returning to Arizona April 30th.

We are traveling all the major highways, thorough many major cities – literally millions of people will see our patriotic tour bus and the Corporate Support Logos embellished on each side of our “roving billboard”. Each stop we make, whether at a restaurant for food or a hotel for lodging, presents yet another avenue for Corporate identity to be acknowledged.

In addition, we will be distributing several thousand copies of our Program Guide to introduce Wounded Warriors and military families to a list of the 500+ programs supported through our web portal, so this is an excellent adverting medium as well.
