The proud is about about a wacky African American family. a 14 year old girl has to deal with her family especially her dad who seem to be so overprotective which can be embarrassing at times, as well as being a teenager.

bit, which focuses on the story that will be happening throughout the episode little preview which will last about around a minute, and then the then the theme song will begin. Then it will go back to the the story that happened in the beginning. The situation normally focuses around penny and what goes on around her, with her family and friends.

LANGUAGE STYLES

The language style used in The Proud family is mainly slang, I think the audience is largely targeted to African Americans. The way they speak also sounds a bit ‘ghetto’. They often have running gags in most episode “Oscar's "rivalry" with the talking baby” and the famous catchphrase that the dad uses when he cant deal with penny, “TRUDAAAAAY!”
