BATLA HOUSE

ACP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav led the Special Cell team that raided a premises at L-18, Batla House,

New Delhi, in search of Atif @Bashir, Chief of Indian Mujahideen, a terrorist group behind the

Delhi serial bomb blasts that shook the national capital city of Delhi on 13.9.08. No sooner did the

team enter the flat than the occupants of the flat opened fire on the police team. During the cross

firing, two militants namely Mohd. Atif Ameen and Mohd. Sajid @Pankaj sustained bullet

injuries while two other militants managed to escape. Inspr. Mohan Chand Sharma & HC Balwant

Singh also sustained injuries. Later the Valiant officer Inspector Mohan Chand Sharma succumbed

to bullet injuries. Another associate namely Mohd. Saif was arrested from the said flat.

JAISH-E-MOHAMMAD MIL ITANTS

ACP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav led the Special Cell team that apprehended Jaish-e-

Mohammad militants 1) Shahid Gafoor r/o Siyalkot, Pakistan, 2) Bashir Ahmed

Ponna r/o J&K and 3) Fayyaz Ahmed Lone r/o J&K and 4) Abdul Mazid r/o J&K

and recovered 3 kgs RDX, 06 hand grenades, 04 Detonators, 01 Timers, Pistol .32

bore, 30 slabs of PETN, $ 10,000/- and Rs. 50,000/- after a brief encounter at

Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Marg, New Delhi.

MOHD. TARIQ @BADA CHANA

ACP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav led the Special Cell team that, in association with

SOG team, Roorkee, Uttaranchal neutralized Mohd. Tariq @ Bada Chana

r/o Itkauli, Distt. Sultanpur, UP, a lethal sharp shooter & henchman of

notorious underworld criminal Chhota Shakeel. He was carriying a Reward

of Rs. 50,000/- declared by the Commissioner of Police, Delhi. One

sophisticated .32 bore revolver was recovered from his possession.

HARDCORE LET MILITANT

ACP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav led the Special Cell team that neutralized Mohd. Iqbal @

Abu Hamja, a Pakistan National and hardcore LeT militant, near Jawahar Lal Nehru

Stadium. Subsequently, 10 hand-grenades, 5 kgs. Explosives, 2 AK-56 assault rifles, 179

live rounds of AK Rifle, 6 magazines of AK assault rifle, 3 kg. Urea, 3 litre Nitric Acid, 1

litre glycerin, 1 Thuraya Satelite mobile phone alongwith charger and computer were

recovered from the hideout of Abu Hamza at Ballabhgarh, Haryana, India.

NOTORIOUS AYUB GANG

ACP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav led the Special Cell team in a fierce one to one encounter and

neutralized 05 most desperate and wanted interstate gangsters of notorious Ayub Gang

namely 1) Ayub @ Lambardar @ Azam @ Masterji r/o Sardhna, Meerut, (Reward Rs.

10,000/-) 2) Aslam r/o Sardhna, Meerut, (Reward Rs. 20,000/- 3) Manoj @ Ankit r/o

Bahsuma, Meerut, 4) Sanjay @ Ajay r/o Kankarkhera, Meerut and 5) Babu Khan r/o

Meerut. Two 9mm pistols, one .32 revolver, two .32 pistols, one live hand grenade with

detonator, one country made pistol .315 bore with 4 live cartridges, one Tata Sumo and

29 live cartridges of 9 mm were recovered from the gangsters.

LASHKAR-E-TAYYEBA (LET) TERRORISTS

ACP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav led the Special Cell team in an operation wherein two terrorists of banned terrorist organization Lashkar-e-Tayyeba (LeT) namely Ghulam Yazdani @ Yahya r/o Andhra Pradesh and Ahsanullah Hasan @ Kajol r/o Bangladesh were neutralized in an encounter at Holambi Kalan, Delhi.

GANGSTER HEMANT @ SONU & HIS TWO ASSOCIATES

ACP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav led the Special Cell team which in a joint operation with Gurgaon Police, shot dead in encounter the most wanted, dreaded, notorious and desperate interstate gangster Hemant @ Sonu along with 2 of his associates namely Jaswant @ Sonu and Jai Prakash @ JP. Rewards of Rs. 50,000/- from Haryana was declared on the arrest of Hemant @ Sonu.

DIVISIONAL COMMANDER OF JAISH-E-MOHAMMAD

ACP Sanjeev Kumar Yadav led the Special Cell team that in a joint operation

with SOG, Srinagar shot down the Divisional Commander of banned terrorist

outfit Jaish-e-Mohammad namely Saiffulah Qari @ Kana r/o Pakistan. Large

quantity of arms, ammunition and explosive were recovered. A Case vide FIR

No. 105/2005 dated 20.11.2005 U/S 307/121/122/120B RPC, 25 I. Arms Act,

PS Raj Bagh, Srinagar, J&K was registered.
