My presentation on Student Mags

Chung-Ang University Magazine
This magazine is for Chung-Ang University Students. This cover features a simple masthead and main image, there are no slogos or main cover lines and it is coloured in a way that isn’t
very eye-catching. Although the main image is a fun picture of students messing around, the simplicity of overall magazine suggests that the features and
stories inside are mainly academic rather than based on topics such as gossip or bands.
I think this cover would appeal to more intellectual students who
are looking for something serious and helpful with their
work.
University of Technology Sydney
This magazine is for the University of Technology Sydney. This cover features a large masthead, slogo
and many different smaller images which have been edited to stand out more. The pictures
and colour of this magazine make it stand out and look
interesting and different.Because this magazine features cover
lines which are about things happening in the University and also things which appeal the
younger audiences, I think that this magazine is aimed for all students and not just a specific type of student. I think this magazine is very eye-catching
and interesting and would appeal to everyone attending
University.
Leicestershire UniversityThis magazine is for the University
of Leicestershire. The cover features a masthead and very large cover lines, the picture is half-covered by the cover
lines and there is a website in the corner.
This cover shows many things that appeal to students, the first
being the main cover lines which feature the words ‘Sex, Drugs, Rock + Roll’ and other things that would appeal to students such as advice and prizes.
I think that this cover is slightly crude in it’s way of using the term ‘Sex, Drugs and Rock &
Roll’ to appeal to students who perhaps are more interested in the social part of student life rather than the intellectual part of being a student.
