Distribution of my magazine.

0 I believe that IPC Media might own my magazine as it is the UK's leading consumer magazine and digital publisher, this is because it’s a UK publisher for a UK magazine.

0 Also IPC publish tangible magazines that are sold in shops or are sent to your address through subscription as well as online digital magazines that can be accessed if you have a subscription through your phone, tablet or laptop/computer.

0 I think that my magazine will be sold now traditional newsagents as well as book shops such as WHSmith. It will also be sold in music shops (e.g. HMV, however HMV has down sized in recent years) it will also have it’s own app on App Store like NME (a magazine owned by ICP) and will be on offer for subscription for home delivery or online usage.

0 The first issue however will be given out for free in shopping malls such as Westfield to introduce the magazine to the public to see whether they like it, this will boost it’s popularity which will encourage people to buy the next issue if they really enjoyed the first one.

0 The magazine will circulate monthly and will average at about 50-60 pages each month.

0 Subscriptions will be available, in order to apply there will be a form at the back of every issue as well as an online application.

0 The subscription will be £24 pounds a year. The individual month cost of the magazine is £3 however with the subscription the magazine will work out to be £2 an issue which means if you were to buy the magazine every month for a whole year individually you’d be paying £12 more than if u had a subscription.

0 Sales of magazines are decreasing overall. The magazine I looked at was VIBE magazine. Vibes sales were getting quite bad and there was a chance that Spin media was going to shut down production by the end of 2013 however as sales were still being made and hadn't depleted completely they decided to cut the magazine’s frequency to quarterly.
