• The airport was operated by the Indian Air Force• Its management was transferred to the airports authority of

India. • In May 2006, the management of the airport was passed over

to Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL), a public-private consortium led by GMR group.

• DIAL - a joint venture of Indian govt. and GMR group (PPP)

Costing & Expenditure

• The original project cost approved by DIAL and communicated to AAI on 18 January 2008 was INR 8975 crores

• The actual project cost went up to INR 12857 crores

• The final project cost adopted by  Airports Economic Regulatory Authority (AERA) for arriving at the Regulatory Asset Base (RAB) was 12502.86 crores
