13th November, 2015• On the evening of 13 November 2015, a series of
coordinated terrorist attacks—consisting of mass shootings, suicide bombings, and hostage-taking—occurred in the French city of Paris.
• There were three separate suicide bombings outside the Stade de France along with mass shootings and another suicide bombing at four different locations near central Paris.
• The deadliest of those attacks took place at the Bataclan theatre, where attackers took hostages and killed 89.
• The Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) claimed responsibility for the attacks.
• The attacks killed 129 people, Another 433 people were admitted to hospital with injuries sustained in the attacks,
including 80 described as being critically injured.
The Excuse.• Terrorism never needs a reason, for reasons are made for justified
actions, not atrocious acts of sadism.• On 10 June 2014, the terrorist group of the Islamic State of Iraq and
the Levant and several other Sunni insurgents took control of the second most populous city of Iraq, Mosul. ISIS carried lots of battles against the Iraqi Army, seizing cities and committing mass murder crimes and massacres, killing about 2,000 people. Until August, ISIS had controlled almost one-third of Iraq.
• On 7 August 2014, US President, Barack Obama, authorized airstrikes in Iraq. A day after the authorization, the US Air Force launched airstrikes targeting the ISIS fighters, with the humanitarian aid support from the United Kingdom and France. On 10 September 2014,Barack Obama outlined plans to expand the US operations to include Syria.
• The French military began airstrikes in Iraq on 19 September 2014 in this operation known as Operation Chammal.
The Excuse.• Hervé Gourdel, a French citizen was abducted
from Algeria by ISIL, and a threatening video was addressed to the French government, to stop the operation. 24 hours later another video was released beheading the French citizen, naming it "A Message of Blood for French Government."
• Reacting to it, the airstrikes went even harsh on the organization, resulting in the massive massacre.
Consequences. • France is committed to "destroying" the so-called
Islamic State group after Friday's deadly attacks, President Francois Hollande has said.
• He said he would table a bill to extend the state of emergency declared after the attacks for three months and would suggest changes to the constitution.
• France's military campaign against IS in Iraq and Syria will also intensify.
• Materializing the outrage, Raqqa (the capital of caphilate) was attacked with jets two days after the Paris attacks.
Consequences.• On Monday, France targeted a command center, a recruitment center,
an ammunition storage base and a training camp in the city, the French military said.
• Though, innocents even got killed in these attacks, which has always been a sad part of combating terrorism.
• The Paris terror attacks have sparked new concern about refugees fleeing the Middle East for Europe.
• Not concern for the refugees, but the fact terrorists could be slipping past borders under the guise of those trying to leave violence and devastation behind them.
• This sentiment has crossed the Atlantic, with some Republican presidential candidates suggesting the US only admits Syrian Christians as refugees.
• Some suggested that Syrian Christians were among the most persecuted groups in the region, and another said there was no "meaningful risk" from Christians.
Barack Obama’s reaction• When I hear folks say that maybe we should just admit the
Christians, but not the Muslims, when I hear political leaders suggesting that there would be a religious test for which person who is fleeing from a war-torn country is admitted, when some of those folks themselves come from families who benefited from protection when they were fleeing political persecution, that’s shameful.
• That’s not American. That’s not who we are. we don’t have religious tests to our compassion.
• Obama added: The people who are fleeing Syria are the most harmed by terrorism, they are the most vulnerable. They are the most vulnerable as a consequence of civil war and strife. They are parents, they are children, they are orphans.
Novak Djokovic’s reaction
• You've got to get to the bottom of that, got to get to the cause. The cause is the war back in their country. And you can't blame these people, if they don't have a house, have nothing, where are they going to go? Of course, they have to search for some better place to live.
• I think it's an obligation of all the countries to give them this right.• On his visit to the refugee shelter in the Serbian capital, he said he was
deeply affected by seeing a child he was playing with be taken away by their mother so they could continue their journey to "they don't even know where".
• The 28-year-old added: I'm very proud as a Serbian seeing what my people have done for these migrants, people that have suffered so much. They offer them that shelter, home, food and drink, that's the most basic things in life.
• From my perspective I'm only an athlete, obviously I'm following this as a human being. At the end of the day we all have to be humans and feel for one another. We have to put that in front of all the laws and borders and different political stuff.
What Dalai Lama said.• While the hashtag #PrayForParis was prominent on social
media and world religious leaders were praised for their condemnation of the attack, the Dalai Lama says the world must not ask God to fix man-made problems.
• People want to lead a peaceful lives. The terrorists are short-sighted, and this is one of the causes of rampant suicide bombings.
• We cannot solve this problem only through prayers. I am a Buddhist and I believe in praying. But humans have created this problem, and now we are asking God to solve it. It is illogical. God would say, solve it yourself because you created it in the first place.
• Let us work for peace within our families and society, and not expect help from God, Buddha or the governments.
• Many of the world's problems have been caused by "superficial differences" of religion and nationality.
• His message for the world is clear: We are one people.
ISIS, ISLAM AND MUSLIM YOUTH
Secular Meaning.• Not subject to or bound by religious rule;

violence and intimidation in the pursuit of political aims.

Only fear can create fear…
ISIS Recruitments• Muslim youth from various countries around the world,
including Asian and European countries.• In Maharashtra 12 youngsters were tracked who had
made their minds to join the terrorist organization.• These youngsters were then counseled and sent back,
arresting only 2 of them.• Reportedly, these people were contacted by ISIS
recruiters through facebook with accounts operated from Karnataka and Gujarat
• These people were told about the sufferings of Muslims and that too in overblown proportions, radicalizing them.
• Fear drives fear – the basic ideology on which terrorism works.
NON- MUSLIMS
MUSLIMS (OPPRESSED)
THE ILLUSION THAT ISIS WANTS TO CREATE.
THE IDEALOGY OF ISIS• ISIS is a Wahhabi/ Salafi jihadist extremist militant group and self-
proclaimed Islamic state and caliphate.• Monotheism is the thing they want to achieve.• Wahhabism is very strict in terms of following the purest form of Islam
which is nearly impossible to follow in today’s world.• Though hypocrisy lies here as Baghdadi has been raping women, using
prostitution for his soldiers, and other forms of HARAM.• The Wahhabi ideology has demolished many of the mosques and idols of
other Muslim believers in the past.• There certainly is some fallacy in the interpretation or with-time-evolution
of the religion.• There definitely lie a few political and economic agendas behind the
organization’s ideology as there had been earlier when the emperor of Saudi and Wahhabism founder had a pact of exchanging protection and glory.
• Even common sense is enough to recognize that there is a greater power politics being played behind the curtain of religion. ISIS is power hungry.

• [Isis] is weak. I know it doesn't look like that right now but it's the truth. And they don't want you to know it. Which is why it's something we should talk about.
• Aly pointed out that Isis has been quick to claim its involvement in terror attacks across the world in recent years despite many of them being very loosely linked to the group.
• He said that it's a deliberate propaganda ploy by the group so it appears "bigger and tougher than they actually are" and in order to generate publicity.
The evidence he producedHe used this excerpt of Dabiq, the group's monthly magazine, as evidence:
• There's a reason [Isis] wants to appear so powerful, while they don't want to acknowledge that the land they control has been taken from a weak enemy, that they are pinned down by airstrikes, or that just last weekend they lost a significant part of their territory.
• [Isis] don't want you to know they would quickly be crushed if they ever faced a proper army on a real battlefield. They want you to fear them, they want you to get angry, they want all of us to become hostile.
• Aly explained that Isis' aim is to divide society, to stoke tensions between Muslims and other citizens in Western countries.
• They want countries like ours to reject their Muslims and vilify them. [Isis'] leaders would be ecstatic to hear that since the atrocity in Paris, Muslims have reportedly been threatened and attacked in England, America and here in Australia because this evil organization has it in their heads that if they can make Muslims the enemies of the West, then Muslims will have nowhere to turn but [Isis].
• Saying that out loud is dumbfounding in its stupidity and bloodcurdling in its barbarity.
• Ultimately, Aly says, we must stay united in the face of this evil:• We're all feeling a million emotions right now. I am angry at these
terrorists, I'm sickened by the violence and I am crushed for the families that have been left behind. But you know what? I won't be manipulated.
• We all need to come together. I know how that sounds, I know it's a cliché. But it's also true. Because it's exactly what [Isis] doesn't want.
• If you're a member of parliament preaching hate at the exact time we need more love, you're helping [Isis].
• If you're a Muslim leader telling your community they have no place here, or a non-Muslim saying basically the same thing, you are helping [Isis]...
• And I'm pretty sure that right now, none of us wants to help these bastards.
Call of the hour.• The world needs to overcome hypocrisy and their short term
motives and come together to view a larger picture.• Even if ISIS goes over to conquer the world, which isn’t possible
even if Baghdadi goes on crying for hours for that, the bloodshed won’t end up. Terrorists do not work for an aim, they work for their sadistic needs. There would be different wars between different people with different opinions within the Caliphate itself.
• International forces need to crush ISIS before it goes any further with its atrocities.
• India too, needs to raise above its polarizing politics and contribute in combating the misleading hateful organization
• As people of the world, all we need is to be rational, aware and full of compassion, raising above the religion, region, caste driven politics and cynic mentality.
