What is Renewable Energy? Renewable energy is energy generated from natural resources such as sunlight, wind, rain, tides and geothermal heat which are renewable (naturally replenished).

lRenewable energies can be harvested forever, providing farmers with a long-term source of income.lRenewable energy can be used on the farm to replace other fuels.lRenewable energy can also help reduce pollution, global warming, and dependence on imported fuels

Use of non-renewable energies can be minimized.

SOLAR ENERGY:-lWidespread use of solar energy for domestic, agricultural and agro-industrial activities..lSolar energy can cut a farm's electricity and heating bills.l used to dry crops and warm livestock buildings.l .Used in SPV(solar photovoltaic)technologyl .WIND POWER:-lFarms have long used wind power to pump water and generate electricity.l Recently, wind developers have installed large wind turbines on farms.lEach turbine uses less than half an acre, so farmers can plant crops and graze livestock.

lBIOMASS ENERGY:-lCrops and biomass wastes can be converted to energy on the farm or sold to energy companies.lBiomass is organic matter derived from living, or recently living organisms. Biomass can be used as a source of energy and it most often refers to plants or plant-based materials which are not used for food or feed.

lHYDROLOGICAL ENERGY:-lMeans energy from moving water.lWater flowing from reservior to river through a dam,can be used to make power.
