To reduce the tension, NRC Lebanon has supported the integration of refugees and host community through different ways.The activities were designed to target children and youth with learning and community engagement opportunities

The activities vary according to the age group and the needs of the targeted beneficiaries :- Inclusive programmes- Life Skills classes- Community Support Initiatives- Fayhaa Choir

Inclusive programmesIn line with the principles of Do No Harm, services were provided to both refugees and host community:- Learning Support classes for in school children- Delivery of YLP (Youth Learning Pack) including vocational skills trainings- Partnership with Lebanese local NGOs

Life Skills classesA structured life skills sessions were delivered to children and youth on topics:- Problem Solving- Communications Skills - Acceptance of others

Community Support initiativesYouth Committees from both Syrians and Lebanese were established and trained to be actively involved in the identification and implementation of community support initiatives in coordination with relevant municipalities.A total of 4 community initiatives were implemented last year.

Fayhaa ChoirChildren and youth (Syrians and Lebanese) were attending the rehearsals regularly with Fayhaa Choir and two concerts were organized in the occasion of the World Humanitarian Day and to Celebrate Christmas promoting a culture of peace and advocate for positive coexistence and integration.
