I think business leaders would do themselves well by studying what authors know about crafting and telling compelling stories. In her book, Wired for Story: The Writer's Guide to Using Brain Science to Hook Readers from the Very First Sentence, Lisa Cron provides an interesting look at how we're all hardwired for story for no other reason than survival itself. So why in business would we completely ignore our mind's need for narrative? Here is my quick take on the ractor beam of story from her brilliant book.
