The Oak Island Mystery

At two feet below they found a layer of flagstones.

At forty feet down, they discovered a charcoal layer.

At fifty feet they discovered a layer of putty and at sixty feet they discovered a layer of coconut fibers.

Although they didn’t know it, The Onslow Company had unplugged a 500 feet waterway going to Smith’s Cove.

• In 1849, The Truro Company began its quest at getting to the bottom of the pit, only to be flooded at 86 feet down.

In 1861, the Money Pit filled up with water after the bottom collapsed.

In 1965, the quest for the treasure was taken over by Daniel Blankenship.
