Most of the landlords don't know what to look for while inspecting properties. So it's good to call the building manger, he
can help you to know the flaws of the building in no-time.
Some common maintenance list :-
:-Regular servicing of heating and air conditioning systems, :-Periodic inspection of plumbing and electrical items
& other building components etc...
For reducing chances of wood deterioration, you should make them printed in a gap of 3-6months.
If the rental property has holes near foundation area, try to fill it up as soon as possible.
Make sure to use weatherproof sealants that will prevent water penetration as well as room's heat loss.

For getting good tenants, the property should be maintained well. It should be properly cleaned, painted walls, and regularly
serviced utilities etc.
Always make sure to monitor the roofs after severe storms or winds for any damages as the missing shingles can cause
water penetration that leads to interior damage.
Make sure the chimney, air conditioning and heating systems are checked and cleaned once annually.
Make sure to check the electricity and circuits once in a month that will give an uninterrupted electricity to tenants.
Property rental always brings an additional expense in terms of service and maintenance or buying some new
home appliances for rental property etc.
But when you keep all these works in a routine basis, it will save your extra cost as well as make the home future tenant
ready.
