It’s my pleasure to provide this brief press kit to introduce
you to our company Michael Carr & Associates, Inc.
& BrandFace - a book and speaking series I co-authored for auctioneers and real estate professionals who wish to become the face of their business...and a star in their industry. When I was just seven years old, I became enamored with the ideal of being an auctioneer. The Cadillac cars, cashmere trench coats, big diamond rings and commanding personalities had me star struck as a young kid. I knew instantly it’s what I wanted to do. I attended auctioneer school and started working auto auctions right out of high school, just waiting for my big break to be at the podium. My big break came one day...and it was a lackluster performance at best! To be honest, I was awful! Never having been one to give in easy it gave me the inspiration I needed to continue down this path, to I stick with it. I spent the next 23 years perfecting my craft.
Along that winding path, I began working real estate auctions and decided to become a licensed real estate agent in 1994. Today, I am Founder and CEO of Michael Carr and Associates, Inc I have a broker’s license in 27 states, I have sold more residential real estate that any other American auctioneer and serve as the Senior Vice President of Brokerage for Auction.com, the world’s largest auction services group.

Since those humble beginnings I’ve traveled
approximately 1.3 million miles by air, 1.5 million by auto
and I stay an average of 225 nights a year in hotels all
over the country, all in pursuit of what I love to do.

NWhen not on the road I oversee our real estate brokerage and home improvement companies from my headquarters in Jefferson, Georgia. In 2013, I began working with Tonya Eberhart, a marketing agent and the author of BrandFace. She not only helped me to elevate my marketing, she pushed me beyond my comfort level to become the face of my brand, a decision I have not regretted. I’ve been fortunate in my life to have mentors along the way that have helped me perfect my craft. Knowing what Tonya had done for my company, I jumped at the chance to coauthor BrandFace for auctioneers and real estate professionals. It reminded me that one of my first brokers told me he would only teach me the business if I promised to teach others. This book and speaking series allows me to play a major role in returning that favor to others. I’ll share the challenges and triumphs of my experience, both in my career and as a BrandFace. You’ll learn what it takes to set yourself apart in your industry and promote the one asset no other business has -YOU! Michael Carr has been an auctioneer since 1991 and
has sold billions of dollars in land, commercial and
residential properties. He has been actively involved in
the sale of over 75,000 homes.
Since becoming a licensed real estate agent in 1994, Michael is now licensed in over 27 states in the continental U.S. as both a broker and an auctioneer. He has served as Senior Vice President of Brokerage for Auction.com for the past five years and has personally conducted over 2,000 auctions in the same amount of time. Overall, he has conducted over 6,400 auctions throughout the last 23 years.
Michael Carr & Associates, Inc. was founded in 2000 and serves as the umbrella corporation for his auctioneer practice, real estate company and construction/home improvement company (Ashton Laine). Michael currently spends part of his week on the west coast conducting auctions, while balancing the rest of his time at his Jefferson, Georgia headquarters for real estate and construction services.
Michael is available for interviews and appearances on the subjects of real estate investment, real estate management, auctions, construction and home improvement. He also serves as auctioneer outside of his Auction.com role, and has performed auctioneer services for auto, heavy equipment and real estate, as well as various charity organizations.
