Naperville Leading Population Boom to Area

As the U.S. Census Bureau recently indicated, Naperville’s growth continues to lead the housing market as evidenced by the population gain of over 4,700 since 2010. It is predicted to continue climbing to over 147,000 by year-end. Already, 800 new residents have moved to the area in 2016! The largest gain thus far in Naperville’s history was in 2013-2014, which saw an increase of 1,400.

Because the housing starts continue to increase, with Naperville ranking #1 for having 49 so far in the first quarter, it is a sure indicator of an upward trend.

Interestingly enough, Naperville’s growth is not shared by the rest of Illinois. In fact, many residents from the State are actually moving to other areas around the country.
