Dr. James Hickey, former principal of Old Bridge High School, serves as an institutional advancement consultant to Our Lady Star of the Sea Church (OLSS). Dr. James Hickey has been a longtime supporter of OLSS, dating back to the days before he became an educational leader in Old Bridge Township Public Schools. In addition to being an institutional advancement consultant, he also serves on the OLSS Parish Council and Finance Committee.

Our Lady Star of the Sea Church, one of the largest Roman Catholic churches in New York, is preparing to open its doors for the 2013 summer day camp program, which will take place July 8 through August 17, 2013. OLSS is encouraging all of its members to tell family and friends about the program.

This year’s summer day camp program is open to children entering pre-kindergarten through eighth grade. The camp will feature activities designed for both indoors and outdoors, including arts and crafts, flag football, kickball, musical theater, and much more.

Established in 1916, OLSS serves the south shore community Staten Island, New York. Along with daily and weekly masses, the parish offers the opportunity for students to receive a faith-based education; provides religious education classes to students enrolled in public school, and hosts adult groups such as the 50+ Club, Rosary Club, and the Singles Club.
