An equity relationship, refers to a long-term approach to building confidence and trust among independent investors, investment banks, holding companies, and other private equity firms in a concerted effort to raise the capital needed for a substantial investment in a particular enterprise or organization. Crucial to co-investing, an equity relationship is largely a social science, depending greatly on the personal, professional, and more humanistic (affective) aspects of modern economic behavior. Complex and long-term in scope, an equity relationship is sincerely personal and designed for mutual benefit; therefore one person’s equity relationship with a partner cannot be replicated by a competitor.
