Necker Island is a 74-acre (300,000 sqm) island in the British Virgin Islands just north of Virgin Gorda. The island's land is entirely owned by Richard Branson, Chairman of the Virgin Group. The whole island operates like a resort and can accommodate up to 28 guests. Necker Island is located at the eastern section of the British Virgin Islands.He purchased the island just six years after starting Virgin Group. It took 3 years and approximately US$10 million to turn it into a private island retreat. The architects and elite designers created a 10-bedroom Balinese-style villa crowning a hill above the beach.
Each of the 10 bedrooms has open walls giving a 360-degree view and cooling winds from any direction in the house. The island can accommodate 30 people and rents out at US$65,000 a day, (US$2,167 per person a day). Minus labour expenses the cost of the entire island could be recouped in a mere 4 months. The cost of staying includes two "private" beaches, private pools, tennis courts, scenic views, a personal chef, a team of about 100 staff and a wide array of water sports equipment.

Musha Cay is a 150-acre, privately owned island in the Exuma Chain, in the southern Bahamas. It is located 85 miles southeast of Nassau. It is owned by illusionist David Copperfield. and spent $50 million for the lamb-shank-shaped island in the Bahamas called Musha Cay. That was in 2006 and since then he’s conjured it into a resort. A guest doesn’t book one of the five villas. The entire island is leased for the entire duration, whether there are two or 24. The price: $37,000 a night (with a four-night minimum) for up to 12, with various increases per extra person up to 24, which costs $52,500. It costs $2,185 per person for 24 versus $2,583 for 18 and $3,083 for 12 people.
The resort consists of five plantation-style villas and The Landings, a large-windowed building that overlooks the dock and serves as the restaurant and guest clubhouse. There’s a long communal table in the dining room, a breezy breakfast veranda, and a game room with a pair of arcade machines, created by Copperfield’s staff, a la the one in the movie Big. The room is also furnished with vintage magic posters and a gorgeous, regulation-size pool table that once belonged to Harry Houdini. Both are drawn from Copperfield’s International Museum and Library of the Conjuring Arts in Las Vegas, the largest collection of magic artifacts and memorabilia in the world.
