TINOS, the island of artists

TINOS is a Greek island of the Aegean Sea and the fourth in size among the Cyclades. It has a land area of 194 km2, 52 beautiful villages and a population of 10,000 inhabitants. Tinos island is located 64 nautical miles SE from Rafina, at SE of Andros and NW of Mykonos. Tinos is connected via a regular transportation network with all the main ports of Athens by ferries and highspeed boats (connections from ports of Rafina, Piraeus and Lavrion). It is also connected with most of the islands of Cyclades. In addition, Tinos can be easily reached by air via the international airport of Mykonos thanks to the frequent and short sea connection between the two islands (20 minutes by high-speed).

Tinos is an island of superb beauty, with traditional, picturesque villages, genuine architecture, unspoiled beaches with crystal clear waters, green fields with rocky footpaths and world known chapels and monasteries. The great variety of landscape of Tinos is unique in the Aegean Sea, while the island has retained its particular character and identity.
