Welcome to 844mrclaim Public Adjuster“Mr. Claim” is a nickname that was given to Public Adjuster Neal McLoughlin after he was involved in over 5 million dollars of claims management in the first months after receiving his Public Adjusters license. The name stuck, so he decided to use it as an easy convenient way for clients to contact him. He even reserved the toll free number 844 MRCLAIM and the web address 844MRCLAIM.com.

Since that time Mr. Mcloughlin has gone on to become the President of the Illinois Association of Public Adjusters Inc. and is an Executive Board member of the the Association of Public Adjusters which governs the state affiliates. In addition Mr. Mcloughlin has instructed new adjusters on the proper method of claims management and is the primary instructor for the “Basic School” for students attempting to obtain their state license. What is a Public Adjuster?
The public adjuster’s main responsibilities are to:*Evaluate existing insurance policies in order to determine what coverage may be applicable to a claim*Research, detail, and substantiate damage to buildings and contents and any additional expenses*Evaluate business interruption losses and extra expense claims for businesses*Determine values for settling covered damages*Prepare, document and support the claim on behalf of the insured*Negotiate a settlement with the insurance company on behalf of an insured*Re-open a claim and negotiate for more money if a discrepancy is found after the claim has been settled.

How are Public Adjusters Licensed ?Currently, 44 states (and the District of Columbia) have in place some form of statutory and/or regulatory scheme which licenses public adjusters. (NAIC) adopted the Public Adjuster Licensing Model Act (MDL-228), which governs the qualifications and procedures for the licensing of public adjusters. You can be assured that we are State Licensed and in addition are Certified Members of State Public Adjuster Associations in the States where we practice.
