2015 REPORTThe SR Group Corporate Responsibility & Diversity (CR&D) programme is an integral part of our group’s foundations, central to our corporate philosophy and underpinning the actions in every employee, both through delivery of business services and within the wider community.

We divide our programme into four categories - Charity, Diversity, Environment and Community - each of which influences the way we engage with clients, candidates and colleagues.

2014 was an excellent year for us with regards to our work within CR&D – we surveyed our employees globally to establish what is important to them, both internally and externally. We then took active steps to integrate their feedback into our plans and long-term objectives, giving them the opportunity to see the ways in which they can influence our company. At the end of the year we were delighted to be awarded Investors in People Silver standard accreditation, and will be using this as our starting point for the next 18 months.

Throughout 2015 we intend to refocus our CR&D programme on a global basis, sharing best practice across all of our international offices to really engage with our staff and add more value to the communities we serve. We have new priorities and new challenges and I look forward to updating you on our progress in next year’s report.

WELCOME

CHARITYInvolvementThe SR Group has an active involvement in charitable giving. Employees are encouraged to take part in supporting charitable enterprises and are assisted in their fundraising efforts for causes that are close to their hearts both locally and globally. This creates a rewarding environment for everyone who is involved whether it be organising the fundraising

or donating. The global Marketing team ensure that events organised throughout the year have a charitable element included. External activities such as marathons, skydives and sporting events are also encouraged and staff members are supported in their endeavours.

2014 Charity Beneficiaries include: 2014 Achievements:

• 47% increase in charitable donations in London

2015 objectives:

• To ensure each of our global offices is supporting an individual local charity of the year

• Continue to encourage charity involvement amongst our employees

• To increase our fundraising targets by a further 20% on 2014

• Our Australian offices are now heavily involved with OzHarvest and has signed up to a year of charitable activities for 2015

Charity Case StudiesJP Morgan 2014The SR Group participated in the London, Sydney and Singapore JP Morgan Corporate Challenge events in 2014. We had 41 staff members taking part globally from Brewer Morris, Carter Murray, Frazer Jones, Taylor Root and SR Search, running in the three races over the course of the year.

All of the events take place in the evenings and give colleagues a chance to get to know each other outside of work. The SR Group are entering again for 2015 and looking to increase the number of runners, as well as achieving better race times!

brewer morris 5-a-side 2014For the eighth year running the Brewer Morris London office hosted their annual 5-a-side football tournament for tax and treasury professionals. The event was organised in support of Shooting Star Chase, our London office charity of the year.

The day saw teams from the tax and treasury world taking part - Deloitte, HW Fisher & Company, PwC, Argenta, Baker Tilly, Frank Hirth, KPMG, Diageo, Hill Dickinson and FTI Consulting competed against our own players for the 2014 trophy. HW Fisher were crowned champions on the day with the event raising over £2,700 for SSC. We were pleased to have SSC in attendance on the day to present the winners with their medals and trophy.

CHARITY CASE STUDIESOctoBeard 2014In October 2014, The SR Group took part in our very own OctoBeard. This was a global effort with employees in Australia, Germany and the London office taking part (including the Partners from each of the regions and Chief Executive Mark Brewer). A grand total of 24 beards were grown to their full (and very mixed) potential throughout October and each participant contributed to Shooting Star Chase, raising a fantastic £1,060. This was something new for the group and will be continued in 2015.

OzHarvest 2015We are delighted to announce that our Australian offices are partnering with OzHarvest for 2015. OzHarvest is the first perishable food rescue organisation in Australia collecting quality excess food from commercial outlets and delivering it free of charge to over 500 charities. We hope to raise $10,000 over the year and have scheduled internal bi-monthly fundraisers (which have so far included an auction and a raffle), a client trivia night (where we raised over $1,200), a client cooking event and a generous donation from The SR Group management which will match donations up to $2,000).

CHARITY CASE STUDIES

2014 highlights

• £18,500 raised in total for the UK

• £2,700 raised for Brewer Morris 5-a-side

• £2,500 raised in total for bake sales

• £12,000 raised for 2014 charity(s) of the year (CLIC Sargent/Shooting Star Chase)

Bake days are scheduled throughout the year. London put on a monthly bake day with all contributions going towards various charities nominated by our employees. There was huge demand for the last piece of “Breakfast Pie” at the end of the year which was eventually auctioned off at £40. In 2014 Hong Kong put on a quarterly “Master Chef” with proceeds going towards two school reconstructions in rural China (via Oxfam).

Bake Days 2014-2015

The Melbourne office is proud to support the Asylum Seeker’s Resource Centre (the largest independent body assisting asylum seekers in Australia). The ASRC deliver services to over 1350 asylum seekers at any one time in Victoria through programmes such as their food and aid network, health, legal, counselling and casework programs. We have been raising funds for ASRC by way of monthly bake days (the proceeds of which are matched by The SR Group dollar for dollar). We are also recruiting a number of legal vacancies for ASRC on a pro-bono basis. We are advertising their vacancies on our job boards and providing ongoing consultation to them on how best to market their volunteer and paid positions to the market.

Jeans for genes 2014The London office participated in Jeans for Genes day in September 2014 and raised a fantastic £364 for the charity.

10 THE SR GROUP

The SR Group has a proactive approach to equality and diversity both internally and as part of our candidate recruitment methodologies. In order to ensure we are reaching individuals from diverse communities, we support organisations and networking groups which operate as independent support networks for various minority groups and communities.

Diversity Performance Monitoring

The SR Group has been capturing statistical candidate equality and diversity information for many years. This information is voluntarily provided by candidates upon registration and is recorded anonymously. The data allows us to make sure that we are maintaining a diverse candidate network.

We are constantly recalibrating our attraction and sourcing methodologies to engage with members of under-represented social groups. Our goal is to offer our clients candidate shortlists which represent a more diverse than average cross-section of society.

As a group, we have been offering ad hoc consultancy to our clients where we discuss their priorities with a diversity agenda (sharing best practice and experience across a range of sectors) and working with them to overcome challenges they face.

The issue of diversity and equality is high on the agenda, with significant interventions being made to support, for example, the progression of women in the organisation, flexible working hours, gym breaks, women-only events, part-time working and ensuring that women on maternity leave are not excluded when it comes to access to development and promotion.

ENVIRONMENTIn an effort to integrate environmental management into the group’s everyday business operations, we strive to demonstrate the highest standards of environmental best practice.

All companies, including recruitment consultancies, have a much greater impact on the environment than is immediately evident. We work hard to reduce this impact where we can through practical steps and initiatives, from widescale recycling to encouraging employees to use low carbon transport wherever possible.

2014 Achievements:

• 20% increase in paper recycling

• Video conferencing capability advanced by introducing video conference rooms across our global locations to reduce our carbon footprint

2015 objectives:

• Investigate renewable energy sources

• Continue to reduce carbon footprint

• Roll out of new, energy-efficient office equipment (including printers, PCs and kitchen appliances)

4.1 tonnes of paper recycled in our UK office in 2014

Zonal motion-sensitive lighting throughout our offices

Easy access to paper recycling bins

Cycle to Work scheme for all employees (including safe bicycle storage facilities)

Donation of PCs for re-use in Third World countries

Mobile phone recycling on both a corporate and individual basis

Drive to encourage staff to turn off their PCs and monitors every evening

Run to Work scheme in the summer months

Amnesty bin for any recycled office equipment

community

Between 1-8 December 2014, a sample cross-section of 52 employees, representing all role types and office locations, were formally assessed against 115 individual indicators which make up the Investors in People (IIP) Silver standard accreditation.

We were delighted to be awarded IIP Silver standard for the group on a global basis, following extremely positive feedback from the assessor.

The Silver standard is achieved by just 6% of IIP accredited organisations and very few of our competitors hold this level of accreditation. We are also rare amongst IIP holders in that we were assessed against, and achieved, Silver standard at first pass – most other organisations gain the basic standard first and work to the higher levels over time.

Anti-Bribery & Corruption

It is our policy to conduct all of our business in an honest and ethical manner.

We take a zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption and are committed to acting professionally, fairly and with integrity in all our business dealings and relationships wherever we operate and implementing and enforcing effective systems to counter bribery.

We have implemented an Anti-Bribery & Corruption policy, the purpose of which is to:

• set out our responsibilities, and of those working for us, in observing and upholding our position on bribery and corruption; and

• provide information and guidance to those working for us on how to recognise and deal with bribery and corruption issues.

We recognise that our corporate activities have repercussions beyond day-to-day business interactions with clients, candidates and colleagues. Our intention is that these repercussions are positive rather than negative.

In addition to charitable work and environmental good practice, we encourage employees to ‘give back’ and provide them with the opportunity to be involved in the wider community.

Our approach to pro bono activities allows us to use our recruitment skills to make a positive impact on the lives of others. This includes working with external partners to provide CV advice and interview workshops to school leavers, particularly those from underprivileged backgrounds.

In addition to our work in this area, we support clients in their own CR&D initiatives, delivering CV and interview workshops within their work experience programmes.

CommunityBoot Camp

At no cost, other than to our dignity, our Training Director (and qualified personal trainer), Leila Hudson, takes a dedicated group of keen Boot Campers in London (and in our global locations during her global office visits) through their paces on a weekly basis, whatever the weather. All levels of fitness are catered for and the Boot Camp gives employees the opportunity to socialise with colleagues from around the office. The Boot Camp initiative was shortlisted for the Most Effective Team Motivation event at The Recruiter Investing in Talent Awards in 2014.

2014 Achievements:

• Expanding our graduate recruitment scheme

• Attaining Investors in People Silver accreditation

• Developed further the pro-bono opportunities for our employees (Women returning to work talks and CV & Interview training for recent sixth form leavers)

2015 objectives:

• Expanding pro-bono work to non-fee earners

• Offering more services to our corporate charities of the year (globally)

• Work towards the Gold Standard of Investors in People for a 2016 entry
