We’ve always placed an emphasis on taking on trainees with little or even no sales experience. It’s really rewarding for us as managers to see people grow into a role, making the work their own and taking control of their own career.

The one thing I’ve always been most proud of in terms of what we’ve built here at WRS is the culture.

When I first came to WRS I worked as an Accounts Assistant. I came from a completely different background and decided on a career change, which is what brought me here. Over the past 2 and a half years I have been lucky enough to study for my Level 4 Association of Accounting Technicians course, funded by WRS alongside my work - this has been instrumental in my personal development and has allowed me to progress in a career I really enjoy.

Barry,AssistantAccountant

What do our staff say?

I joined WRS with no sales experience at all and was placed within the Middle East Construction division. Within my first year I have been given the flexibility to explore other parts of the world within the construction sector and now cover construction recruitment on an international basis.

WRS has given me the training and support to enable me to work confidentially in speaking to experienced people in the industry

and in turn bringing on new clients, candidates and making placements. The WRS team are a great group of people to be around

with everyone offering support and guidance when needed - not just in the beginning but even now.

Ella,InternationalConstructionConsultant

I started at WRS in 2013 with very little sales experience and no knowledge of the industry I would be recruiting for. Over the last

3 years the support has been phenomenal and after just a couple of months I was able to talk confidently to professionals in the industry all across the world and more importantly, make my first placement!

My colleagues have been great in offering help to get me to my targets. Some of the highlights have been going on WRS holidays

abroad from achieving my goals!

I have been working here at WRS since 2014, when I was looking for a career change and thought the fast-paced nature and great earning

potential of Maritime recruitment sounded suited to my goals. Initially I resourced for my colleagues, which enabled me to learn the industry inside out – then I began building my own client base.

Last year I was offered the opportunity to move into Account Management off the back of a large Managed Service contract win for the business. Now I spend my days managing all of the

crewing for a number of offshore vessels. I love the fast paced, reactive nature of my job and get on really well with my clients and

seafarers alike!

Tarnie,AccountManager-MarineCrewing

I am one of the co-founders of WRS, growing our Global Mining and Global Construction division from infancy to what it is today. Over the last 8 years WRS has provided me with the platform to grow from managing a small team of consultants to a Director managing several divisions.

WRS has provided me with both internal and external training which has facilitated my growth both as a manager and a business developer. We have created an atmosphere which we feel differs from a typical recruitment office to one where creativity and autonomy is greatly valued and rewarded.

Lucy, Director of Permanent Division

I had some working experience in Marketing prior to joining WRS, but this was the first role I could really sink my teeth into. During the 3

years I’ve worked here I’ve made a lot of friends and have been given the autonomy to work the way I want to with the flexibility to put my ideas across and try new things - but always with the support needed from senior management to

make a success of it! In the time I’ve worked here we’ve

gone through a period of rapid growth but the business

hasn’t lost its family feel.
