DESCRIPTION
Sophie won the hearts of children everywhere when she played Able-seaman Titty Walker in the classic 1974 film, alongside Virginia McKenna, Ronald Fraser and Suzanna Hamilton. Using extracts from the diary she kept as a 12-year-old, Sophie has written a charming account of the making of the movie on location in the Lake District. The book is beautifully illustrated throughout by the photos her parents took at the time, official publicity stills, and Sophie's own hand-drawn maps of the filming locations, inspired by the endpapers of the Arthur Ransome books.
