O Inherited traits are those which are inherited from parents. These usually include physical traits, including eye color, height, skin tone, hair color, and susceptibility to certain diseases like diabetes.

O DNA is the material responsible for inherited traits in human beings

INHERITED TRAITS

Page 6: Acquired and Inherited Traits

Some traits are both! Skin color is a combination trait:-

Inherited part: Receive genes for skin color from parents

Acquired part: Amount of time in the sun determines level of tan

*Earlobe:-In some people, the ends of the earlobes are attached to the skin on the neck while others have detached earlobes.

*DimplesThe presence of dimples has a dominant pattern of inheritance, which means that offspring will have dimples if they receive dominant alleles from both parents or inherit a dominant allele from either parent.
