Adaptive Coding and Modulation
Converts link margins into increased capacity (30-40% typical). For most of the year links operate at a signifi cantly increased capacity. During fade events individual links dynamically adjust to a slightly slower speed to ensure connectivity.

Allows many base stations to be multiplexed into a single high bandwidth satellite carrier “pipe”. The multiplexing effect provides signifi cant bandwidth savings for base stations when compared to individual pipes (30-40% typical) employed in terrestrial lease lines, or traditional SCPC satellite links.
