Current Kompsat-5 support • Kompsat-5 data supported in their original format (*.h5) for displaying, processing, orthorectification… → Can be imported as a pix file (PCI’s native format) for faster displaying and processing → All metadata are imported from the original *.h5 file → The Orbit information is automatically retrieved and data are resampled and projected on the fly in Focus - Enable spatial display of distribution format imagery

• All supported Kompsat-5 modes can be orthorectified → With or without external GCPs → 8 to 12 external GCPs per image are recommended to improve the positional accuracy

Current Kompsat-5 support • Complex values L1A SCS data are supported as complex data in Focus and OrthoEngine → Real time Interpretation (display) of complex data as Intensity, Amplitude, Decibels, Phase… →Orthorectified data remains in complex format

General Land Use classification

• Different Kompsat-5 images acquired with different polarization can be combined to improve Land Use classifications

• Many classification algorithms are included in Geomatica, both supervised and unsupervised

Intensity Change detection

• Coherent change detection based on intensity (CCDINTEN), phase (CCDPHASE) or the Wishart distribution (CCDWISH) → Complex data: CCDINTEN, CCDPHASE or CCDWISH → Detected data: CCDINTEN

• Change detection based on variably sized moving window/kernel → 3x3 to 33x33

• Fusing low resolution optical data with high resolution SAR data• Adding value by utilizing the best characteristics of each datatype
