Plate tectonics is the cause of continental drift and mountain building.He found the same old species on different continents.This was discovered in 1929 by Alfred Wegener.Then, He proposed the continental driftAnd the existence of Pangea

But... Why is all this happening?These plates form the continents, mountains and oceans. And they are moved by currents of molten rock, which are under the plates.

*These currents are called convection currents. And they born in the planet core.

While the plates move, push stones and mountains are forming.

The magnetic field

Geodynamics also protects us from solar radiation.

The core made of iron and nickel, rotates, and generates the magnetic field of the earth. Like a Dynamo.

The radiation that entering in the earth, is reflected as aurora borealis

The Sg3 well was closed in 1989, when workers reached 12km, they punctured a huge underground cave which had 1000 degrees Celsius.

The heat made it excavator 5km ground burst and buried workers.
