Use The Habits of Productive People and Create Your Productivity Schedule

The habits of productive people are the factors that create success in life. Success is something we all strive forand being productive not only moves us closer to achieving our goals of success, but productive days also provideus with an elated feeling. So what is it that the successful people do to be much more productive than others atovercoming the thousands of distraction we encounter each day? Here are the most important habits to get into inorder to become the productive person you want to be.

Plan your schedule around your energy first and time second.

Pay attention to the energy of your mind and body, and accomplish the task related to your energy that is at itsoptimal level. For example, I do my best writing in the morning when my mind is fresh, creative, and clear of theclutter it compiles from daily life activities, so I wake up early to do my writing when the world is still quiet. people get their best exercise in the morning, my body takes a while to loosen up so I don't work out till about 4-5hours after waking up. Maybe you like to workout in the morning and do your creative thinking at night. It's differentfor everybody and might require you to make a schedule change but it's imperative you know your body and mind soyou can plan your day in a way that takes the most advantage of your energy.

Know the difference between important and urgent task. Focus on the important.

"What's important is not always urgent. And what's urgent is not always important. " -Dwight Eisenhower

Urgent tasks are tasks that you feel like you need to react to, for example social media notifications, emails, textmessages and phone calls. Important tasks are the activities that move you closer to achieving your goals, values, and mission, the things that will bring you success. The most productive people have a habit of getting what'simportant done before worrying about what may be urgent. Here is an Eisenhower box, you can use this as a tool foroptimizing your productivity schedule and make decisions on important versus urgent task.

Urgent Not Urgent

Important DO

Do it now!

-Keyword research

-Write article

DECIDE

Schedule a time to do it

-Review webinar training

-Meditate and break time

Not Important DELEGATE

Can someone else help and take care of it for you?

-Answer emails

-Daily house/yard chores

DELETE

Forget about this task, it's not necessary

-Watching tv

-Scrolling through facebook feed

This is an example of the Eisenhower matrix I used today.

Get into routines/create a system

Having daily routines especially at night and in the morning will help you take consistent action towards achievingyour goals. These routines help eliminate decision-making overload and are a necessary component in the habits ofproductive people. Obviously, your routines should be positive and include things like a healthy breakfast andcreating a schedule, not things like midnight ice cream snacks and late night television shows.

Make a daily schedule

A necessary habit of productive people is time management, scheduling is hugely important. Make scheduling thenext day part of your nighttime routine. Scheduling is hugely important because it declutters your mind from thetrivial things, leaving it open for creative thoughts and ideas. Do not overload your schedule! Leave time open forbreaks, you need to let your mind be free at times and create space to let inspiration flow.

It's better to get a couple important things done than scramble trying to complete a bunch of tasks. If you try to dotoo much you'll likely end up doing a little bit of everything and never completely finishing your important tasks. It's

better to completely finish 1-2 important tasks than making little accomplishments on a larger number of tasks. When you are able to complete a task or two from start to finish you'll be rewarded with an accomplished, productivefeeling at the end of the day.

Conquer hardest task first

Picture yourself getting the toughest tasks done before noon every day. Imagine what that would do for yourproductivity and overall happiness. It gives you a strong sense of accomplishment halfway through the day andrelieves so much stressful time from your life. The best way of conquering the hard task is to break them up intosmaller goals and focus on each small goal individually, then follow through till the overall job is done.

Implementing these 5 habits of productive people will create huge benefits in your work and also your life outside ofwork.

Before I close this out I want to share a few more words of wisdom about being productive.

Most productive people are not perfectionists. We put out high-quality work but focusing on perfection leads to a lotof unnecessary tinkering. Spending time tinkering for perfection can be a huge and a productivity killer, that time canbe spent much more wisely.

Declutter your life. Get rid of possessions that are not necessary, they often create more work and distractions. Justlike you want to keep your mind free from the trivial things your life and physical space should be free from clutter, unnecessary people and possessions have negative impacts on our lives and overwhelm us with distractions.

Lastly, It's ok to say no to people. The needs of other people often distract us, it's nice to help out and you should attimes but remember you don't need to say yes to everyone. You have your own missions and life goals so makesure you keep your focus on the most important things in your life. For me, those things are my family, my life goals,my business, and my morals.

To share this info with your friends, family and co-workers use the social media links at the top right of the page, itcan provide much-needed value and advice for some of the people in your life.
