I stand strong in the face of adversity.

I know that adversity is a natural part oflife. Just as a rose garden has thorns or themiracle of birth is beset with pain, thejourney of life, no matter how wonderful itmay be, has its share of hardship.

In fact, I would not know joy if I didn'thave adversity as a comparison. So Iaccept that I must encounter adversityfrom time to time and let go of the desireto fight against it.

My action-orientedmindset is like a shield that protectsme and makes me stronger. As long asI am taking action, I have no time to sitaround and worry about the "what ifs."

Another technique that gets me throughthe hard times is to remind myself that "this, too, shall pass." I know that bettertimes are around the corner and Ilook forward to welcoming them back intomy life.

My determined focus is another tool thatenables me to be strong. Many times Isimply shift my focus to somethingelse in my life other than the moment ofstrife. It's like changing the subject in aconversation. Since I am not enjoying thecurrent subject, I change it for the timebeing to something more pleasing.

Today, my focus is on the positive aspectsof my life. With my handy tools andtechniques, I am confident that I canmaintain my strength through anyadversity that may come my way.
