2. STEP 1Lightly grease a baking tray or a cookie tray.Beat together the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl untillight and fluffy.Beat in the egg. 3. STEP 2Sift together the flour and coco powder and graduallybeat in to form a soft dough.Use your fingers to incorporate the last of the flour andbring the dough together.Chill for 15 minutes. 4. STEP 3Break pieces from the dough and roll into thin sausageshapes about 10cm long and 6mm thick . Twist intopretzel shapes by making a circle , then twist the endsthrough each other to form a letter B. 5. STEP 4Place on prepared baking tray , slightly spaced apart toallow for spreading during cooking. 6. STEP 5Bake in a preheated oven at 190 degrees for 8-12 minutes. Leave the pretzels to cool on the baking tray, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely. 7. STEP 6Melt the butter and chocolate in a bowl set over a pan of gentle simmering water , stirring to combine. 8. STEP 7Dip half of each pretzel into the chocolate and allow the excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl. Place the pretzels on a sheet of baking paper and leave to set. 9.
