Dexter’s SiMania Joint Duelacy – Chapter Three

Welcome Back!

Thank you very kindly for returning to read the third chapter of Dexter’s side of the

SiMania Joint Duelacy. In the last chapter you saw Mars, the heir, marry Eric Butler and together they had triplets Ariel, Phillip and Sebastian. Just after their birth Eric was skilling with the telescope and got abducted by aliens – poor timing, I know! Let’s pick

up from there, shall we?

Mars is still working hard toward her lifetime want to reach the top of the athletic career. Her brother Pluto, the man standing in the middle, is also working toward a lifetime want. He wants to become a rock god. They just got promotions today! Mars to a MVP and Pluto to a studio musician! After some hard work, they are both starting to become household names.

Mars isn’t just an MVP on the field. She’s an MVP at home too – a most valuable parent! In fact, that makes Eric a MVP too. They both team up to take excellent care of their triplets Ariel, Phillip and Sebastian. Raising three toddler’s is no easy task, but they’ve managed to make it this far without any outside help. They both love their three kids and of course the one growing in Eric’s belly – he got abducted by aliens right after the triplets were born and is now expecting an alien baby of his own.

Pluto may be currently working on recording a hit album, but that doesn’t mean anything to his little niece and nephews! He is still just plain old Uncle Pluto to them. Pluto is a great help with the triplets. He helps them learn to walk, talk and use the potty. He doesn’t even mind changing the dirty diapers when there is an accident!

Thankfully since Mars’ father Dexter and brother Pluto help out a good bit with the triplets, she can spend quality time with her pregnant husband. With their busy schedules (Mars working toward getting into the hall of fame and Eric wanting to reach the top of the gaming career) it’s important to put aside that special husband and wife time.

Boy, oh boy is Eric having a difficult pregnancy. It’s not been too challenging, but mix together the usual quickly dropping energy, hunger and fun needs with chasing after three toddlers all day… You get the picture! Hopefully that’s why Eric is having a hard time with his pregnancy. It better not be because he’s having multiples! I will lose my mind with him, seriously.

Mars has been promoted from an MVP to a Superstar! She’s really becoming someone in the athletic career now. Pluto, who just finished recording his first hit album, has decided it’s time to move out of his family home and into his own place. He’s got the money and certainly is doing well for himself, so he found a nice apartment not too far away and signed the lease. He’s finally out on his own.

This has got to be the most unsanitary place in the entire house to give birth. Both kitchen tables are full of rotten food and flies are everywhere! Regardless, a little boy named Hubert was born. Hubert cannot compete for heir, since he is not blood related to Mars, but he is named after a Disney character anyway (as his siblings are since it is the theme for this generation). Hubert is named after King Hubert in Disney’s Sleeping Beauty. Hubert is Prince Phillip’s father and together he and King Stefan arrange a successful marriage for their children not knowing they’ve already met and fallen in love!

Ariel, Phillip and Sebastian pretty much keep themselves entertained now. They’re almost out of their toddler years and are all potty trained – which is an enormous help when you’re raising three at once! This means that Mars and Eric can focus more on the needs of the newborn in the family, Hubert.

It’s time for the triplets to grow up. They are leaving their toddler days behind them and upgrading from their cribs to big boy and girl beds. Eric and Mars were there to celebrate with their children as they turned into… well, children! Mars’ face pretty much sums up how I feel about this long awaited birthday: pure joy! Raising triplets is, for sure, not for the weak simmers.

Ariel, top left, Phillip, top right, and Sebastian, bottom left, all grew up wonderfully. As toddlers their alien features were pretty severe, but I think they’re growing into their genetics. And I just now realized I dressed them all in stripes, lol.

Raising one baby instead of multiples of babies is so much easier! Little Hubert has already gotten more one-on-one attention with his family members than the triplets probably have gotten thus far in their short lives. It isn’t because the family likes Hubert better, but they can actually spend time with him without rushing to take care of another crying baby.

Mars continues to be a spectacular mom to all four of the children in the McMania home. Now that her triplets are school aged, she helps them all with their homework. This also gives her some quality time with each individual child. Not only does she take care of her three birth children, but she makes sure Hubert is looked after as well. In fact, she’s rolled the want to have another child of her own. This will definitely not be happening. One child in this family turns into like three or four children!

Thanks to all the homework help from their mom, all three kids are doing wonderfully in school. They are continuously coming home with stellar grades and seldom even have to do homework anymore. They’re some smart cookies!

Every sim family has the one child that rushes out to greet every family member with a hug once they get home from work. That child in this family is Phillip. I can’t even be mad at the guy for running away from whatever activity I have him doing, because he is so darn cute.

It’s time for another birthday celebration in the McMania home. This time it involves cake and balloons! Hubert and his human father Eric blow out the birthday candle and Hubert becomes a toddler. He has a few alien features, and of course the alien skintone, but is pretty cute overall!

All the kids in the family get along better than I could have hoped for. Ariel, Phillip and Sebastian have been best friends since their toddler days. It must have been all that time in the womb they spent together ;) I’m glad to see they can let their baby brother Hubert in their friendship circle. They include him in everything they possibly can.

Hubert has the opportunity to learn all of his toddler skills: walking, talking and the ever appreciated potty training. Mars helps the little guy learn to walk the night of his birthday party. This is something his siblings didn’t have the opportunity to do, learn all of their skills that is. Again, not because their family didn’t want them to, but because there were so many other things to be done that it just got pushed aside.

Phillip and Sebastian are very active little boys! They both consistently roll the want to jump rope – which is great because it knocks out the chance of childhood obesity and raises their fun bar at the same time ;)

Ariel never wants to jump rope, but has found her predestined hobby in arts and crafts. She could spend all night painting when she comes home from school if she didn’t have to eat and sleep too. Just because she’s attached to her easel doesn’t mean she doesn’t get play time outside though. She is best friends with her father Eric and constantly wants to be swung around by him.

Mars is at the top of her career now! She finally was promoted to be in the Hall of Fame. Ariel and her sweet Phillip ran out to congratulate her with a hug. With her first lifetime want out of the way, Mars’ new goal is to become an Education Minister.

It is time for little Hubert to join his older siblings in childhood. Eric held his alien child in front of the cake while Ariel, Phillip and Sebastian sang happy birthday to their baby brother. Hubert aged into quite the little cutie. He is starting to grow out of a few of the alien genetics, but still has the small nose and of course green skin.

The next evening, the McMania family celebrates another birthday! This time Ariel, hidden by her grandfather Dexter, Phillip and Sebastian are aging into teenagers!!!

The kids grew into quite the handsome bunch! Ariel is stunning as a teenager and her large alien sized eyes are now gorgeous instead of awkward. Phillip is tall, dark and handsome with his jet black hair. Sebastian, still has striking alien features but is a looker as well! Ariel rolled a romance aspiration, Phillip a popularity aspiration and Sebastian pleasure. They all three have very similar aspirations.

Now that the kids are becoming more independent, Dexter spends more time painting now than ever. Like with everything else, his fascination with outer space shines through in his artwork.

On the first day of high school, Phillip brought home a new friend. Her name is Melody Tinker and she’s quite the…eccentric young lady. With eyeliner drawn from her eye to cheekbones, super short mini-skirt and thigh high boots she’s not exactly who you bring home to mom. Unless you’re Phillip! The duo got along wonderfully and after one night of hanging out they developed a mutual crush for one another!

Hubert has been wanting to purchase a guinea pig for some time now, so I finally humored him. He got a furry little brown one and I named him Dopey. I’m staying inside the Disney naming theme, but staying away from The Little Mermaid and Sleeping Beauty since the kids are named after those characters. Dopey is named after the silliest of the seven dwarves in Snow White.

Norah Cooke, one of the spares in my current joint legacy with meadowthayer/Haleigh, came home with Phillip after school one day. Together they sat to eat lunch with little Hubert. Norah was in awe at the great relationship the brothers shared and thought it was cute that Phillip let Hubert sit in on their afternoon lunch date. Major brownie points for Phillip!

She thought it so cute in fact, that she deemed Phillip worthy enough to kiss! After dinner and a bit of tickling and a few games of red hands, Phillip and Norah shared a first kiss together :)

It’s that sad time in every legacy in which someone leaves the family. This time it is Dexter saying goodbye to his loved ones after coming home from a long day at work. Norah, lacking all basic manners, thought this a perfect time to tickle poor Phillip.

Mars is torn up over the loss of her father. She walked around the house all night crying and sobbing hysterically. Every corner she turns there is something to remind her of Dexter; an alien painting he made, a rocket ship sculpture and even little Hubert makes her tear up.

The day after Dexter passed, Phillip brought home yet another lovely female. This time he’s just begging for trouble. After sharing his first kiss with Norah Cooke, he brings home her sister Nicole the very next afternoon!

Phillip wasn’t the only teen bringing home a friend that day though. Sebastian finally brought home a classmate named Beverly Jalowitz. He and Beverly ate lunch with Mars and Phillip. Then Eric thought it would be the perfect time to walk by in his underwear. Great timing.

The date night may have started out a little awkwardly for Sebastian and Beverly, but it ended pretty great! Sebastian got his first kiss just as Eric decided to get some grub. Again, great timing!

The night ended fantastically for Phillip too! Although he may want to be a bit more careful if he’s going to be dating multiple girls at once. Dating sisters isn’t too bright of an idea!

Ariel has got to be the worst romance aspiration sim ever! She doesn’t ever bring boys home or want to go out to meet them. She’s perfectly content to read a good book and stay at home with the family. She even tucks in her baby brother Hubert at night. She’s definitely meant to be a family aspiration. Or maybe a knowledge, but surely not romance!

Eric has finally achieved his lifetime want to become a game designer! Immediately upon his arrival home Hubert rushes outside to congratulate him with a hug. Following Huber is Mars to welcome her newly permanent platinum husband with a kiss.

Now that Mars and Eric are at the top of their careers they both have three days off a week. This leaves them plenty of time to spend with the family and to finish raising their kids together.

All this extra time off is excellent for Eric and Mars’ relationship. They haven’t had much alone time together since before the triplets were born. While Ariel, Phillip, Sebastian and Hubert are away at school the only thing their parents worry about is whether or not the maid is going to catch them being all lovey dovey together.

It’s great to see that the chemistry between these two is still going strong!

The time has come for the last child to age into a teen. That means that my turn with this family has come to an end! Along with Hubert, Mars is also celebrating a birthday tonight. She’s turning into an elder!!!

Hubert aged into a handsome young man. He rolled a popularity aspiration like his big brother Phillip. I wonder if he’ll be a womanizer too? Hubert can’t be voted for in the heir poll because he isn’t related by blood to Mars, but he’s still a McMania nonetheless!

I love the look that Eric and Mars are giving each other in the top picture. It just sums up their story together and says “Well, we’ve done good.”I’ll leave you guys here, I hope you enjoyed the chapter and I look forward to seeing where the next member of SiMania takes this family. Goodbye :)
