STEP 7: FERMENTING
Fill the airlock with water to the level
indicated, and plug it into the lid with
grommet ;
Store the fermenter in dark, cool place and control the temperature at 23C by using heating device or
a fridge; At this stage a temperature controller may be needed which is availabe at
BrewersChoice.
Observe the airlock to see if there’s level difference after a few hours; if not try re-tightening the lid

STEP 8: Hydrometer Measurement
When the bubbling has stopped or very slow(3-5 days), take some beer from tap into the
hydrometer and make a reading. Don’t forget use a spray bottle to
wash the tap after filling;
Most standard beer should be bottled when the specific gravity drops to 1010. If the reading is higher leave it for another 1-2
days and test again. Page 14

Plug the little bottler into the tap, and insert the bottler into the

slowly till it’s full

STEP 10: CAPPING AND 2ND FERMENTING
Put the beer into fridge before you drink, best temperature is 4-
8C for different beer. then ENJOY YOUR OWN BEER
YOU BREWED YOURSELF!
After you fill up all the bottles, cap them and store them at same temperature as when fermenting for 5 days to carbonate the beer, then store them in the cool and dark place; 2 weeks or plus for best result

IMPORTANT TIPS:
* It’s important to sanitize all brewing equipment used for brew;
* To have good temperature control is very important for brewing good beer. Around 23C is best for most beers. Advanced brewer may ferment the beer lower to 10C for certain type of beer only, using special yeast;
* The hops play a very important role in the brewing of beer: the type of hops, quantity used, and boiling time in Step 5 is critical for giving different flavours to the beer of bitterness and aroma.
