Mel Gibson’s movie The Passion of the Christ was incredibly controversial. It was a disturbing depiction of the death and resurrection of Jesus

Christ. However, this movie was insanely popular because Gibson was touching on an incredibly

profound topic. It was a concept that embodied chaos, destruction, and sacrifice.

This movie was by far happy go lucky. And you certainly weren’t going to leave the theater

singing Kumbaya. So how did Mel Gibson get away with making an incredibly successful movie that everyone thought was going to be a bust? He

did it by appealing to the darkness that is suppressed inside of all of us.

Here’s the ugly truth. Darkness is part of nature. Just as there needs to be night, there needs to be

day. Sadly, many of us are programmed to not deal with the darkness. Leroy just wanted to find

the master and get the glow.

Jesus Christ just wanted to teach people about spirituality and enlightenment. Yet, they were

constantly confronted with darkness, even though they weren’t looking for it. They were

betrayed, humiliated, and beaten almost to death. However, they kept pushing forward to

the path of enlightenment.

So the teachings by many popular gurus who talk about the laws of attraction and

the power of intention are not really telling you the full story. They tell you that like attracts like. However, that’s not always entirely true. Darkness is part of us. In fact, we need it to grow.

We actually become stronger by fighting our demons so that we are not only mastering the

forces that reside within us, but external forces as well. Sadly, many of us are chicken shit. We don’t

want to face our demons. Or we have been programmed to believe that darkness is entirely

bad.

Sadly, this couldn’t be further from the truth. We are imprisoned by this fear of darkness and because of that, we are not fully able to grow. So Jesus Christ came a long and said that he’ll

carry the burden of darkness. He’ll endure the brutality and cruelty of nature. He’ll absolve us

from our sins

And as a result of him taking on such a heavy burden, he was rewarded with the greatest gift of all, ascension. So all the myths about being

positive and only surrounding yourself around positive people who are into the light all the time, is just another form of suppression.

It is never a good idea to go against the forces of nature. Anything that is suppressed will

resurface, rearing its ugly head and destroying everything that you’ve worked for. In fact, this is the very reason why Jesus Christ was born.

He was born to bring balance back to the force.
