What is a Facebook Vanity Url?

A Facebook Vanity Url looks like this:Facebook.com/Team3Media

As opposed to this: Facebook.com/pages/Team-3-Media/289351141

Why is this better?

• It’s more readable and takes up less space (for print).• It’s easier for the search engines to read.• It’s easier for people to type in.

Now Onto the Steps…

Step 1: Find Your Admin Panel

Make sure you’re logged in and you have navigated to your Facebook Page.

Step 4: Click Change Web AddressStep 4: Click Change Web Address

Step 5: Your Vanity UrlStep 5: Your Vanity Url

• Type in your business name (e.g. YourBusiness) in the box that says “Enter desired username”.

• You can only use letters, numbers, and periods.• Tip: Use Titlecase to make it more readable. • Ex: Team3Media vs. team3media• Then click “Check Availability”.
