Writing about our feelings andexperiences helps us release some ofthe associated emotions and processevents in our lives.
2. It improves ourmemory
We are more likely to rememberthings when we write them down,including important life lessons andepiphanies.
3. It promotes self-awareness andmindfulness
...which in turn promotes happinessand a sense of well-being. Journalingencourages us to focus on ourpresent thoughts and feelings.
4. It improves ourphysical health
Research has suggested that regularjournaling strengthens immune cellscalled T-lymphocytes.
5. It heightens oursense of optimism
Regular gratitude journaling has beenshown to promote greater optimism,as well as enthusiasm and energy.
